Wal Mart Words

I was at Wal Mart a few days ago and I thought, "Gees, I haven't given anyone an encouraging word today." I started praying and I spied a pregnant lady. Aha! I love prophesying destiny over babies.
As I walked around looking for the lady I started asking the Lord for one word for her.  You see I knew from Psalm 139 that the number of thoughts God has for us are uncountable.  All I needed was just one of his thoughts about this lady.  I knew from past experience that Holy Spirit has lots to say, so I boldly made my way, not having one word... yet.
I found the lady and asked if I could share what the Lord had given me.  As soon as I opened my mouth I all of a sudden knew that she was carrying a boy and that he was going to be a leader.  He had a special gift of wisdom too.  She was really blessed and let me pray for her for an easy labor and delivery.
As I walked away I was thanking God for the opportunity to bless this lady when I noticed that I was hearing words for each person I glanced at.  It was totally amazing!   I looked one way and got, pain, forgiveness and despair when I looked at three people. I stopped and looked the other way and saw hope, veil and knee at another three people.  Everywhere I looked the people had labels that I could hear inside of me when I looked at them.
I could have stayed there all night giving out destiny words to people.  God really wants this for us saints.  We are the generation that's going to make a difference.  Greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world.
Lord show my sister and brother how to walk in this.  Show them how many thoughts you have towards them. Help them to hear your voice more clearly in their quiet time with you and to jot down all the precious things you show them. Give them faith to see in the spirit like you did Jeremiah. Thank You Lord that Your love flushes out all fear in them.  Thank You Lord for going ahead of them and giving them a couple of opportunities to share encouraging words with people who will be receptive and appreciative. Amen! (Psalm 139:17, John 10:27, Hab. 2:2-3, Jer. 1:11, 1John 4:17)
Bless you!

The Power of Communion

I want to share a new insight that the Lord has given me concerning communion.  Let's read the back ground text first.

1Cor. 11:23-26     "For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."  (vs23-24)

In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. (vs. 25-26)

I used to take communion at home when the Lord led me to.   It was a way of cleansing myself from sin and reaffirming that I was His.  The Lord kept highlighting to me that I was doing this 'in remembrance of him' and I started to wonder what that meant besides the obvious.  I wasn't getting it!

Then I read the next part we are to "proclaim the Lord's death till he comes." (vs, 26)  What was the big deal about this statement?

As I meditated on it and asked the Lord why he was highlighting this to me it came to me that I really don't remember my covenant as well as I should.  He took all my sickness and gave me his divine health. (ref. 1Pet. 2:24) He took all my poverty and gave me all his abundance. (3John 2, Phl. 4:19)  He took all my guilt and gave me his peace of mind (ref. Rom. 8:11)  He took all my anxiety and gave me his plans and strategies (James 1:5, Ps. 112:4)  He took my orphan spirit and placed me in his family (ref. Rom 8:15, Heb. 13:5, Gal. 3:26)

Part of remembering our covenant is to enforce what it means.  If I know that healing was purchased for me on the cross of Calvary then I have no business allowing a cold or sickness to attack me.  I need to aggressively declare that sickness can't dwell in my body.  Some people calling this action "resisting the enemy."  (ref. James 4:9, 1Pet. 5:9)

If I know that God took all my poverty on the cross so that I could have abundance then I need to resist poverty, lack and famine with the word of God.  He wishes above all things that I might prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. (3John 2) This includes finances.

If Jesus took all the judgement that we deserved so that we could have his peace then we need to enforce the victory that he won for us with promises from the word of God.  He is our peace! (Eph. 2:14) There is no condemnation anymore... correction yes, because he wants us to grow more and more like him, but never any condemnation. (Rom 8:29, 2 Tim 3:16-17)

We are his ambassadors now. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (ref. 2 Cor. 5:20, 1 Pet. 2:9)

Communion has taken on a whole new meaning for me.  Now I know that the Lord wants me to reaffirm who I am in him and all that he purchased for me... aggressively.

May I encourage you to start taking communion at home and to really think about all that Jesus did for you?  He wants this for us.  The Bible says that all creation is awaiting the revealing of the sons of God that it might be delivered from it's bondage (ref. Rom 8:19-21)  Time is getting short.  It's up to us now. We are the generation that will stand for all he wants to do in the earth.

I bless you in Jesus' name.  May you know his love more deeply, may you walk with him more closely and may you hear his "well done" every day, In Jesus' name I ask. Amen!

I bless you abundantly; physically, mentally, financially, spiritually and relationally.
Big hugs,

Everlasting Burning

I was just reading some old journals and this really blessed me, so I thought I would share it.
Enjoy!

Isaiah 33:14 says, "The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: "Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?" (italics mine)

vs.15 "He who walks righteously and speaks what is right, who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes, who stops his ears against plots of murder and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil--

vs. 16 "this is the man who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. His bread will be supplied, and water will not fail him."

vs. 17 "Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar."

I was meditating on these verses and I started asking Holy Spirit to show me the king again.

All of a sudden I could see the King in all his beauty.  He was stunning!  He was clothed and haloed by fire.

He wants me to go hug him.  I am drawing closer and closer as I die to my way, my life, my opinions.

Heat... I can feel the heat from Him, yet I am not burning. It is Holy Spirit's heat.

His arms are open wide and He's beckoning me to come closer.  Do I dare?  "It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Heb. 10:31)

Hang on... I have nothing else.  This is what I have dreamed of so many times over the years.  If I get vaporized He can recreate me.  I will be with Him... one way or the other.

Family... flashes through my mind. Sorry...  my steps are resolute.  I was created for this.  I was created for fellowship.

I can see the Father on his throne about 15 feet behind Jesus.  He is being careful not to move so that the glory exploding from Him won't knock me down.

I can hear the angels softly singing, "Holy, holy, holy..."  It is almost like they are holding their breath in anticipation-- of what?

Me!  In  Jesus' arms, right where I belong... the fire doesn't hurt!  I can feel the pulsing of the glory, like waves of the sea.  It's pulsing through me somehow.

Holy, holy, holy, love-- joy -- peace-- everything Holy Spirit is to me is flowing and pulsing through me.

Time is passing as I soak this revelation in.  I can feel so much joy now!! Time is standing still in His arms.

Jesus picked me up and carried me away from the Father a safe distance.

The angels are excited and happy.  I am clothed with His fire. There's a deep peace inside of me now. A really deep peace."
******************************

That's what I got one night as I waited on Him.  We can never out give God.  He always pays us back more.
Let's receive more of his purifying fire in our lives.  Hebrews 12:28-29 says, "Therefore, since we are receiving a Kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire." Thank you Lord for more grace in our lives.  Help us to walk in the light of your countenance always. Amen!

Bless you richly!

Spare Parts Room In Heaven

Once when I was worshiping God showed me a huge mansion in Heaven.  Jesus was beckoning me to come closer and I followed him into the mansion.  Past the entrance way there was a long hallway with gold doorknobs on the various doors.  We went to the second door on the right and Jesus told me to open the door.

In this room was a counter like what you see at a catalog store and there were shelves all along the walls and a beautiful conveyer system like what hotels have to check coats with.  The only difference was that these hangers had body parts on them.  There were hangers with different legs bones, arm bones, containers with organs in them and even a box with body part names written on papers that you would hand in to an attendant.  I was fascinated and in awe with the whole vision and not at all scared.

The Lord then told me to use as many parts as I could, as there was an unending supply.  I came out of the vision and thought, "how do I do this?"

I thought about this vision over and over again and I kept asking the Lord how to do this. Well he heard my cry because soon enough I had the opportunity to practice.  I went on a ministry trip to the States with a girlfriend and we visited an elderly couple.

The husband wasn't saved so we kind of made small talk and I kept getting a sore shoulder.  I mentioned that someone must have a sore shoulder and started praying quietly to myself when the elderly man spoke up and said, "That's me."

I told him that when I get a word of knowledge that it means God is saying he wants to heal something and I asked him what was wrong with his shoulder.  Turns out that he had torn his rotator cuff a few months ago and it wasn't healing well at all.  His retirement dream was to play golf and this sore shoulder was ruining his retirement.

We prayed for him and nothing was happening initially. I asked the Lord what to do and he told me to get a rotator cuff from the spare parts room in Heaven so I closed my eyes, visualized the room and looked around for a rotator cuff.  It was on the counter.  I reached up and grabbed it and laid it on his shoulder by faith and said, "Okay I saw it in Heaven and I pulled it down and put it into your body. Now check it out."

He started to move his shoulder and then moved it more vigorously and his jaw dropped.  "It's better!" he exclaimed.

We then explained that the same God that loved him so much that he would heal his shoulder wanted to make sure that he would spend eternity in Heaven and not hell.  My girlfriend then led him in the sinner's prayer and he had joy like he never knew it. His face beamed!

That was three years ago and I'm happy to say that it has gotten easier and easier to go visit this room in heaven and download replacement body parts for people.

God is so good!  I am having so much fun!  I love to see people get healed!
So now that you know there is a room in Heaven with spare body parts in it ask the Lord to show you it when you are worshiping him some time.   I know my pastor has had a similar experience and he downloads body parts for people when the need arises.  If he can do it and I can do it then you can too!

I first heard about this room in Heaven from a preacher five or six years ago.  It took me a while to learn how to set my mind on Heavenly things and believe I could see into the Heavens by faith but it's been so worthwhile!

Have fun with the Lord.  The next time you seek him, consecrate yourself to him then ask him what to do step by step and soon you'll start seeing things in Heaven too.  He wants this for you more than you know!  We are supernatural beings now!

Bless you as you seek him!
Big hugs,
Brenda Gale Thompson
P.S. If you like this please share!

P.P.S.  I have received many great comments about this post.   I'm glad it's encouraging people to step into healing.
One comment about how this couldn't be possible because The Spare Parts room wasn't mentioned in the Bible needs a comment back.   Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, actually implying that it was closer than your hand in front of you!  Yet because we don't see it we discount it!  We shouldn't!  In the same way, just because you haven't seen a spare parts room doesn't mean it doesn't exist!   Jesus said that if everything he did was recorded it would fill up all the books on earth.  This is just one of those things that we are discovering in our time!
Finally,  Jesus said, "I do only those things that I see my Father in Heaven doing."   So how could he see his Father in heaven while he was on the Earth??  Since He is our example... that means that we can too!    So let your mind expand to consider the possibilities!   Jesus said we would even greater things!  Therefore, get with the program and cleanse your imagination so that it's a clean drawing board for Holy Spirit to show you stuff!  Bless you!

The Streets Are His Too!

The Cry Ottawa, 2011

God is good all the time! I want to declare that the streets are his too!

I heard about a preacher that invites people to his healing meetings so they can get healed and I think that's a wonderful thing to do.  He says that the faith of the other believers and the atmosphere in the meeting really helps the people, to start to believe, that healing is possible for themselves.

That's a good thought.  I want to be led by God all the time.  I used to invite people to services a lot. Now,  many times I find myself moving out and blessing and praying for people right where they are, whether it be the mall, grocery store etc. Then I follow up with an invitation to a healing service.

You see, my touch or prayer might be the only time they have felt the presence and power of God.  Also, they might not come to a church service because of all the connotations associated with it.  I know, but I know that when I bless a person they are receiving healing virtue and his presence.

So I guess we just need to be led by His love. When His love compels you to do something, however small, that's what we call compassion and that's God.  When He moves you to bless or pray for someone, we should always try to obey because that's how we bring God's kingdom to the earth.

If all of us would do this, we would see such a change in the atmosphere around our towns that people would come near us and get touched by  the power and presence of God. We would see whole towns blanketed by the glory of God.

That is so exciting to me.  It makes such a difference if a few believers are praying or praising over an area.  It prepares the atmosphere for signs and wonders.  I saw that at the Cry.  It was so easy to give out destiny words there. I prayed for people after we left and it was still easy, because I had a friend praying for me as I stepped out with encouraging words.

Then later when I visited a lady and my friend wasn't present with me, I started to cough when I tried to share a destiny word.  I knew that was an attack.  So I prayed my way through it, delivered the word and went on my way.

It's important to have prayer backup every day.  I try to get a friend to agree with me for God encounters, before I go out and I ask  them to pray in tongues as the Lord leads while I am out sharing. It really does help!

So,  my thought for the day is that the streets belong to God too and we can pray for people wherever Holy Spirit leads.  Just  get some prayer covering, follow Holy Spirit's lead and signs and wonders will follow your sharing, wherever you go. (ref. Mark 16:20) I declare that we are seizing the opportunities to make a difference for the Lord. Amen!

Have a great day with Him!

Hospitality

Hospitality is a big part of my life.  I really enjoy having friends over and I regularly help at church functions.  You can usually find me in the kitchen or serving food.

As our churches grow I am finding that volunteering is one of the ways to better get to know people.  It's hard to build relationships when we meet,  have church then take off right away.  I am finding that to build trust I have to build relationships first.  I can't expect trust where there is no relationship happening.  As I know a person better, I feel I can trust them more and more.

I had a couple of nice chats with a few ladies in the kitchen yesterday and it just confirmed that I am in the right place.  I bring my ministry gifts wherever I go.  I can give an encouraging word wherever I am.

I remember a time when the wife of our guest speaker came into the kitchen and helped us do the dishes after pot luck.  We tried to tell her that we would do it, but she wanted to stay and help.  She was such a blessing and we got to ask her questions about ministry and the adventures she had been on.

She really encouraged my daughter to go to bible college.  She made quite an impact on us.  So many people want to be served, and yet this great lady was helping us clean up.

I never forgot it.  I try to lead by example too.

My pastors are great servants.  Many times I have seen them working behind the scenes or helping with the food while others are blissfully unaware of what's going on.  Somehow we get it all worked out and people get to eat and everybody is happy.   It's a joy that stretches us at times!

Anyhow,  that's my thought for the day.  Blessed are the volunteers, because God is rewarding them!  We can never out give God and as we are faithful in the little things He will add to us the bigger things.

"Thank You Lord that we are growing in favor with you and with people.  Thank You Lord that Your light is shining brightly through us!  Thank You Lord for using us today.  May we always be available to give an encouraging word or a empathetic ear to those around us.  Thank You Lord for anointing all the work of our hands. I decree more creativity and blessings flowing through our hands from now on. Amen!"

Bless you more than before, in Jesus' name!
Big hugs,

Dreams or Translation?

Thailand
Hi again.  I have been hearing a lot about supernatural translation and spiritual translation. I know that this can happen because it happened to John in Revelation, to Ezekiel, to Elisha but it has only happened a few times to me.

I asked a friend of mine to pray for me last night at the healing service and we agreed that I would remember my dreams.  I was expecting!  I knew from good teachers that our spirits don't need to rest, just our bodies do so I asked the Lord to let my spirit go out and help someone.

I woke up this morning with the distinct impression that I was in Thailand, but when I opened my eyes I was here at home. I can only figure that I went there during the night.  It was their day and I prayed for a baby of a missionary couple that was getting sick often.  I know I rebuked the fever and claimed supernatural health for the little guy.  I remember it being hot and that it smelt so different and it was noisy.

So I don't know if I was actually there but it sure felt real!   I sent a message to the mom to see how her son was doing because I don't normally think about them that often.  I don't even think she knows me, but God knew her need.

Actually, I hate anything that the hurts or debilitates people so I am keen to help in whatever way I can. (ref. Matt. 10:8, Matt 18:19, 1John 4:17)

You can bet I am looking forward to going to bed tonight! Ha, ha!

Let's pray... "Lord, give us all a good night's sleep and let our spirit's help you tonight while our bodies rest.  We claim dreams and revelations and songs in the night. For your glory Lord.  Let your kingdom come and Your will be done tonight in our lives. Amen!" (ref. Psalm 4:8, Num. 12:6,  Psalm 112:4, Job 35:10, Matt. 6:10)

Bless you!

Growing Up in Faith

There is something that I have seen over and over in the body of Christ that needs to be addressed.  We walk by faith, not by sight. People say 'Amen', but there are whole books that could be written about 'believing', if you know what I mean.

Giving something mental assent is very different from faith that knows.  I can say, "Yes, by his stripes I am healed." but if I run to the medicine cabinet at the first hint of fever or pain then my actions are speaking far louder than my words. Faith makes a stand and commands the enemy to go. Then it rests, expecting the mountains to move.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (ref. Rom 4:17)  We have to read the word, speak the word and ask Holy Spirit questions about the word.  We have to use the word of God because it's the sword of the Spirit by which we overcome all the attack of the enemy. (ref. Eph 6:10-19, James 4:7)

I have encouraged my family and friends to exalt the word of God as the final say in their lives.   This is easy when things are going well, but it's harder to do when your body is screaming at you.

Initially, baby Christians get healed with no effort at all.  However,  God expects us to grow up and learn to use the weapons of our warfare.  We overcome by the blood of the lamb, by the word of our testimony and we don't love our lives unto death. (ref. Rev 12:11)  He is expecting us to grow up into sons and daughters of God. (ref. Rom 8:19)

I have noticed that God rarely does things the same way twice in a person's life.  He might heal you one way this time,  but that does not mean that he is going to do it the same way all the time.  There are times when you get healed with no effort and times when you really have to stand on the word of God and resist the devil.  Then he flees.

So my thought for the day is learn to walk by faith and not by your feelings, or symptoms.  Exalt the word of God in your life.  God has exalted his word and his name above all things and if He can, then so can we. (ref. Psalm 138:2)

Also, start with that pesky cold that keeps trying to attack you.  Resist it with the word of God and keep practicing till you get the victory.  It is much better to strengthen your faith muscles against a pesky cold than something life threatening like cancer.

Here are some good confessions to get you started.  Ask the Lord and he will give you more that apply to your situation.

Thank You Lord, that by your stripes I am healed. (Is. 53:3-5)
Thank You Lord that Your word has the final say over my life.  Thank You Lord that I exalt your word in every situation. (Psalm 138:2)
Thank You Lord that Your word is greater and stronger than the  medical professional's words over me. (Psalm 138:2)
Thank You Lord that you do not change. (Mal 3:6)
Thank You Lord that you are not a man that you should lie (Num. 23:19)
Thank You Lord that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Rom 8:17)
Thank You Lord that I have been given fullness in Christ, (Holy Spirit) who is the head over every power and authority (Col. 2:9-10)
Thank You Lord that freely I have received, so freely I give (healing, deliverance, hope, encouragement) (Matt. 10:8)
Thank You Lord that I resist the devil with my spoken words and he has to flee. (ref. James 4:7)
Thank You Lord that there is no demon, no spell, no curse that is stronger than the word of God and the blood of Jesus. (ref. Col. 2: 15)
Thank You Lord that I am a son/daughter of God. (Rom 8:19)
Thank You Lord that the work you have begun in me you will complete. (Phil. 1:6)
Thank You Lord that healing flows through my hands and words because Holy Spirit is in me. (Col 1:27)

I Bless you as you go today.  Have fun renewing your mind! (Rom 12:1-2)
Big hugs,
Brenda Gale Thompson

Stay Small

I was asked to go to the hospital by a friend to visit someone that was diagnosed with cancer  months ago.  I was really excited because a fellow that does healing meetings was going to visit at the same time.

My girlfriend and I had prayed for our friend together a couple of times and we thought she had received her healing, but the symptoms continued.

This was a new day and one of the first things the fellow told her was to put the past in the past. Good thought. As he started to talk about examples in the Bible, I started to weep because I felt Holy Spirit's presence manifest around us.

He prayed for her and I probably wasn't as quiet as I should have been because I was excited and wanted to agree with him.  There is power in agreement! (ref. Matt. 18:19)

Afterwards, he shared how he knew, but he knew that she had received healing virtue and that if she would agree with God every part of her body would be healed, not just the cancers.

His praying was no different then our praying, Holy Spirit said, because the cancers would start to jump around whenever I prayed for her.  We knew we were on to something. I think it was the persistence and the added faith of this fellow minister that helped.

Another thing that influenced her healing was that today her faith was excited. You see she had confirmed a prophetic word that she would be healed after nine months.  Well today was the end of the ninth month.

I am sharing this with you so that you will be encouraged to keep praying for people and to keep laying hands on them.  Just because they don't get healed the first couple of times is no reason that we should give up on them or get offended.  We want to keep standing for them until such time that they receive the full manifestation of their healing and for many people this is a process.

Yes, it is humbling when they can't seem to get their healing through you, but it's a good thing to stay humble in your own sight.   The humble know God really well, but the proud he knows from far away (ref. Psalm 138:6). I don't know about you but I want to stay in God's arms all my life.

I Bless you as you go today.  I decree that healing and miracles flow through your hands in Jesus' name, by His Spirit that abides in you! Amen! (ref. 1John 2:27, Mark 16:14-20,  1John 4:17)

Big hugs,
Brenda Gale
