My Friend

I have a friend who is looking for people to pray for.  His eyes are wide open to see anyone who might be sick, diseased or hurting in anyway.   Then if they allow, he prays for them and invites Holy Spirit to show up and Holy Spirit does!   And Holy Spirit is showing up more and more!  There were so many testimonies at the Emergency department of the local hospital that he got told to come back whenever he wanted!

This can be your testimony too!  This fellow hasn't been saved more than two years.  He saw a few healing services and how people were healed and went after it.... consistently.  God's rewarding him.  Like the Bible says, "He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him." (Prov. 8:17)

This fellow doesn't know his Bible inside out either.  He just loves Holy Spirit and makes time to fellowship with Holy Spirit.... when Holy Spirit nudges him.   That's a huge key right there.  Too many people miss out on God because it's inconvenient or they are busy doing something else.

Another key I have noticed in this man's life, is that he has also followed the little nudges like the hair standing up on his arms. He'll say, "He's here now."

I wonder how many of us have out-reasoned ourselves from an encounter with God by not acknowledging Him when he showed up in little ways.   This fellow has been faithful with little and now he's been given much!  The atmosphere is electric around him!  He starts talking about Holy Spirit and you can feel Heaven around you!  My eyes start to tear up and the hair on my arms stands up too.

Anyhow..... if you want more of God try these ideas and I am sure you will get a breakthrough-- just like he did!  God is on your side and is not trying to punish you.  He has said that never again will he be angry with us. Hallelujah!  We can always take him at his word. He wants us to have encounters with Him everyday.

I bless you with more of his love and courage.  May we always be bold and stouthearted.  Lord go ahead of us and prepare the way for us.  Help us to seize the opportunities to pray for people.  Help us to remember to get them to check to see if there's a difference!  Help us to be diligent about seeking you Lord.  Amen!

Another Strategy to Break Through!

If there are times when you don't know what to do to get a break through, keep reading.

You probably have done all the regular things you know to do; like pleading the blood of Jesus over you and repenting of any sin you are aware of.  If you still don't hear anything, then may I suggest that you 'offer yourself a living sacrifice' to him? (ref. Rom. 12:1-2)

Let me explain...  When there's a cloud around me and it's hard to hear, I picture myself climbing on a huge alter and laying down.  Then I give my ideas, my mindsets, my interpretations of visions, all my past experiences etc. to  the Lord.  Sometimes this takes a while.  Then I ask Holy Spirit to bring to my remembrance anything that is getting in the way of our relationship.  He's so faithful to show me!  Hallelujah!  He wants this for us.

God always shows up when there's a sacrifice on the alter--always!   He's no respecter of persons either.  What he's done for me He'll do for you.

This is another key that God has helped me use to get corporate break through at church.  It usually only takes one person to visit heaven and if they decree that everyone gets touched by heaven then they will.   There is so much power in our words.

When I claim Holy Spirit's presence around me he shows up!  When I don't claim it.... he sometimes doesn't. When I release the glory that's inside of me people get touched wherever I am.

Therefore I want to encourage you to use your words on purpose. Say what you want to see out loud and expect Heaven to move in.  Truly we have not because we ask not!

I bless you with more of His presence today and more of his boldness. Amen!

Deception

I think all of North America is in shock following the mass murder of so many people in a movie theater in Colorado.  How can this happen?   What would cause someone to do such a thing?  Now the police are having a hard time getting into this fellow's apartment!

Easy.... deception.  One little thought that goes unchecked, fed by another thought that goes unchecked and before long the person has believed a lie.

The next step is when they start treating people as if the lie they have believed is truth.  Really, they are viewing people through 'rose-colored glasses" and are not able to distinguish truth from the fiction they have believed.  At this point it's easy for the enemy to add other lies to the initial one.

This is the trap that introverts can easily fall in to.  Because they like to be alone and think, they don't get the feedback that will keep those questionable ideas in check.  Also,  because they are the silent ones, they don't often reach out for help, so you can be living with somebody and not really know that they need counseling.

We can see this behavior in Christians too.  When we don't stay in contact with others we can easily fall into deception.   That's why it's so important that we stay in touch with people who will pray for us when they see danger signs and even disagree with us in conversation-- if warranted.   Iron sharpens iron and it keeps us from getting dull too. We need to stay sharp to the enemy's schemes. Amen?

Pride will cause some people to think that they don't need peers, or that friends will not understand their ideas and opinions.  Emergency alarms should be going off if you see someone who thinks he is better than everyone else.  He or she is headed for a fall.

It's very sad to see something like this happen. We need the Lord's eyes and ears to see the lonely ones and hear what the people are 'not' saying.  Even more importantly, we need the Lord's heart so that we will care enough to keep calling forth the plan of God in these individuals.

Let's pray: "Lord please help all the hurting people. Let your love flow and let your mercy and grace touch each and everyone of them. Bring healing and help to all those affected, in Jesus' name.  Here am I Lord.  Use  me to help  others today. Amen!"

Hay and Healing Testimony

Hi there.   Tricia hurt her wrist last night when she tried to break her fall in the hay mow.  We were done the hay so she didn't have to move it much and I don't think she realized how badly she hurt it. This morning it was really bad and she told me about it so I prayed for her and got her to check it.  It was still a bit sore so I prayed again.   I could feel the love flowing through me.  Then she checked it again and the pain was a bit better.

I prayed again and we included all the people who did hay last night because I was a bit sore too.
After that time she was much better. You could see the delight on her face.

Three hours later and we just finished man-handling some bales into their final positions in the barn and her wrist is still good.  Hallelujah!  She's going for a swim now. PTL!

I just had to write about this.  Normally pulled wrists take a few weeks to heal, never mind moving  three-four hundred lb.  bales around the same day!  God is Great Saints!

Lord, the anointing you have given me I give to the person reading this and 100x more!  Let them always have the boldness and trust to step out of their boat for you! Amen!

Bless you again!

Healings this week

It's been a very busy week as we are haying.  Hungry people want food so I have been going to the grocery store for supplies.  I had asked the Lord for fresh eyes to see the people to pray for and He's been answering.

A friend said recently, "When we see someone Jesus is seeing them through us."  That really gave me something to think about in a new way.  As I am appropriating this truth it means that Jesus is looking through my eyes and of course He wants everyone whole and healthy.   That's part of what the Hebrew word 'shalom' means-- peace with nothing broken and nothing missing.

I prayed for a number of people this week.  A few encounters stood out to me that I'll share with you.

One lady had a huge goiter type cyst on her neck.  It was really making it hard for her to turn her head.  I asked her if that was a goiter and she immediately said, "It's just a growth and it bothers other people far more than it does me."

Isn't that an interesting response?  I thought to myself... she doesn't know my God and what he can do.  So I commanded that thing to disappear and I blessed her, in Jesus' name.  I didn't ask her permission because we were in a checkout line and she obviously didn't have faith to agree with me.  Didn't take long but you watch, the next time I see her that growth will be gone!  It has no choice.  Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.

Another fellow that stuck in my memory was the man I prayed for yesterday.  He was young and had a cane.  I get stuck some times wondering what to say to start the conversation so I just asked him, "Is that your cane?" (I know it's lame.)

He replied, "Yes," and looked at me quizzically.

I asked him, "Are you in pain right now?" and he paused and responded "Yes, without the cane I am in lots of pain."

I commanded healing to flow through him as I touched his arm and I rebuked all the pain and commanded it to leave him. I told him that I had seen some crazy healings at church and that God wanted to heal him too.  I left him after I blessed him and told him that I would keep praying for him.

He was very appreciative that I stopped and showed compassion.

As you can see I am no pro at this.  I fumble with words many times and I'm sure I appear a fool to many folk, but I really don't care.  His love in me can't stand to see others hurting.  I know but I know that if I won't cancel my faith with wrong words, that those people will be healed.  I've seen it too many times.

Our words coming out of our mouths are so much more powerful than the words of fear or unbelief coming out of other people because our words are life and theirs are death.  Heaven is far more powerful than hell.  Remember, one can put to flight 1000 and two 10,000?  That's how powerful our words can be.  Come to think of it... that's  probably why the devil works overtime trying to get Christians to speak words of fear and unbelief--because he knows that's the only way to stop us.

In any case... I want to encourage you to step out anyway you can.  Don't worry if you don't have all the right answers.  People will forgive you when they feel that you care.  His love will make a way for you.  His love never fails!  Remember-- he saw them before you did.  He goes before you and makes the way clear for you.

You want to pray a dangerous prayer with me?

"Lord, please show us how much you love the people around us.  Shed more of your love in our hearts where we find it hard to love others.  Let us always walk in the reverential fear of You and not the fear of man.  Thank you Lord that we don't love our reputations, our lives more than you.  We want to overcome by Your blood and by our testimony(words).  Thank you that we are always bold because we are righteous. Hallelujah! Amen!" (Rom. 5:5, Prov. 2:1-8, Prov. 29:25,  Rev. 12:11, Prov. 28:1)
