The Streets Are His Too!

The Cry Ottawa, 2011

God is good all the time! I want to declare that the streets are his too!

I heard about a preacher that invites people to his healing meetings so they can get healed and I think that's a wonderful thing to do.  He says that the faith of the other believers and the atmosphere in the meeting really helps the people, to start to believe, that healing is possible for themselves.

That's a good thought.  I want to be led by God all the time.  I used to invite people to services a lot. Now,  many times I find myself moving out and blessing and praying for people right where they are, whether it be the mall, grocery store etc. Then I follow up with an invitation to a healing service.

You see, my touch or prayer might be the only time they have felt the presence and power of God.  Also, they might not come to a church service because of all the connotations associated with it.  I know, but I know that when I bless a person they are receiving healing virtue and his presence.

So I guess we just need to be led by His love. When His love compels you to do something, however small, that's what we call compassion and that's God.  When He moves you to bless or pray for someone, we should always try to obey because that's how we bring God's kingdom to the earth.

If all of us would do this, we would see such a change in the atmosphere around our towns that people would come near us and get touched by  the power and presence of God. We would see whole towns blanketed by the glory of God.

That is so exciting to me.  It makes such a difference if a few believers are praying or praising over an area.  It prepares the atmosphere for signs and wonders.  I saw that at the Cry.  It was so easy to give out destiny words there. I prayed for people after we left and it was still easy, because I had a friend praying for me as I stepped out with encouraging words.

Then later when I visited a lady and my friend wasn't present with me, I started to cough when I tried to share a destiny word.  I knew that was an attack.  So I prayed my way through it, delivered the word and went on my way.

It's important to have prayer backup every day.  I try to get a friend to agree with me for God encounters, before I go out and I ask  them to pray in tongues as the Lord leads while I am out sharing. It really does help!

So,  my thought for the day is that the streets belong to God too and we can pray for people wherever Holy Spirit leads.  Just  get some prayer covering, follow Holy Spirit's lead and signs and wonders will follow your sharing, wherever you go. (ref. Mark 16:20) I declare that we are seizing the opportunities to make a difference for the Lord. Amen!

Have a great day with Him!
Big hugs,
Brenda Gale

Remember When...

Remember when I treated your children like my own, when they came over.
Remember when my family helped you move and no one else would.
Remember when my daughter babysat your kids so you could work in the store.
Remember when I prayed for you, when you were sick and Jesus healed you.
Remember when I shared my food with you and you shared your food with me and we both laughed about it.
Remember that I am a friend, not an 'infidel' or something you have been taught to exterminate.
And lastly -- remember that I love you... friend.

"...And the greatest of these is 'love'", love which never, ever fails. (1Cor. 13:13, 8)  I am claiming this family for the Kingdom of God.  The kids love Veggie Tales and appreciate getting out of their tiny, two bedroom apartment and coming out to our farm.  God is working in a great way.   People of other faiths love getting dreams and visions so  I have been praying for them to get some. LOL.

Hmmm, maybe I am wrong, but I have noticed that when they are in the minority they are great people.  It is only when they are the majority that they start to try to force their religious laws on others.

We have the greatest weapons though. No religious spirit can stand against Love, Hallelujah! (2 Cor. 10:4-5, Eph 6: 10-20)
Bless you... in Jesus' Name!

God's Leading

I can remember driving by this company called Computing Devices twenty two years ago. I felt a nudge to investigate it but I ignored it because I thought it was a software type of company.

Now that I think about it the Lord nudged me about that place a few times over the two years that I drove by.

At the time I was working in sales and I was not happy. God was trying to answer my prayer but my preconceived ideas and snap judgments precluded me working at this place.

You want to know what's funny? Twenty one years later I got a job there. It's now called General Dynamics and I love it there. I am kicking myself for not listening to the Lord so many years ago.

Learning to discern Holy Spirit's nudges can take some training so I beg you, "today if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts," as the Israelites did in the wilderness." (ref. Heb. 4:7)

So many times we blame God for where we are and how things turn out in our lives and many times it's not His fault. He's trying to lead and guide us but we are not listening. Or worse still, we figure we know better and dismiss His guidance.

So I say to you (and myself), "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your heart (path)." Prov. 3: 5-6

Daily quiet time will help you to hear His voice and discern whether the little nudges are something you should revisit or explore.

I let the devil run me ragged back then and if I remember correctly I was more interested in reading science fiction novels then spending time with God. I was of the mindset that "I deserved a break today." No, actually we all deserve hell apart from God's mercy and grace. I have come a long way since those days and so can you. All things are possible with God. (Matt. 19: 26)

Beware of snap decisions and preconceived ideas because they usually lead to trouble. Act in haste... repent at leisure is a saying I heard many a time. I remember vowing that I would never go out with an Engineer because there were so many boors in my classes. Well guess what? I had to eat those words because I married one! We've been married almost twenty years now. It's too funny.

You want to hear something else? My husband always used to say that he would never go out with someone that had a kid. I had a three year old little girl. God made him eat his words. His friends even reminded him of what he used to say. God's got a sense of humor.

Therefore, let's acknowledge God's leadership in ALL our ways. As we listen for the little nudges we get, we will be blessed because that's God's plan for us. He delights in the prosperity of his servants. (Psalm 35:27) Hallelujah!

Lord help us all to hear Your voice more clearly and not to over rule or dismiss Your gentle nudges. I bless the person reading this blog.  May they be blessed in all their ways, mentally, spiritually, physically and financially in Jesus' name. Amen.
