The Streets Are His Too!

The Cry Ottawa, 2011

God is good all the time! I want to declare that the streets are his too!

I heard about a preacher that invites people to his healing meetings so they can get healed and I think that's a wonderful thing to do.  He says that the faith of the other believers and the atmosphere in the meeting really helps the people, to start to believe, that healing is possible for themselves.

That's a good thought.  I want to be led by God all the time.  I used to invite people to services a lot. Now,  many times I find myself moving out and blessing and praying for people right where they are, whether it be the mall, grocery store etc. Then I follow up with an invitation to a healing service.

You see, my touch or prayer might be the only time they have felt the presence and power of God.  Also, they might not come to a church service because of all the connotations associated with it.  I know, but I know that when I bless a person they are receiving healing virtue and his presence.

So I guess we just need to be led by His love. When His love compels you to do something, however small, that's what we call compassion and that's God.  When He moves you to bless or pray for someone, we should always try to obey because that's how we bring God's kingdom to the earth.

If all of us would do this, we would see such a change in the atmosphere around our towns that people would come near us and get touched by  the power and presence of God. We would see whole towns blanketed by the glory of God.

That is so exciting to me.  It makes such a difference if a few believers are praying or praising over an area.  It prepares the atmosphere for signs and wonders.  I saw that at the Cry.  It was so easy to give out destiny words there. I prayed for people after we left and it was still easy, because I had a friend praying for me as I stepped out with encouraging words.

Then later when I visited a lady and my friend wasn't present with me, I started to cough when I tried to share a destiny word.  I knew that was an attack.  So I prayed my way through it, delivered the word and went on my way.

It's important to have prayer backup every day.  I try to get a friend to agree with me for God encounters, before I go out and I ask  them to pray in tongues as the Lord leads while I am out sharing. It really does help!

So,  my thought for the day is that the streets belong to God too and we can pray for people wherever Holy Spirit leads.  Just  get some prayer covering, follow Holy Spirit's lead and signs and wonders will follow your sharing, wherever you go. (ref. Mark 16:20) I declare that we are seizing the opportunities to make a difference for the Lord. Amen!

Have a great day with Him!

Evangelism Yesterday.

courtesy of www.wcca.ca

Hi there.  Did I ever have fun yesterday.   There was an evangelism team sent out Friday morning from Logos Land and only 4 people showed up-- me and 3 guys. Well, the fellow wanted to send us out two by two, as in two women and two men but no other women showed up, so I went out by myself.
I had so much fun.   I went and talked to people on the streets of Cobden, Ontario and chatted with people sitting on their lawns. I stopped a fellow that was mowing his lawn to tell him the good news of what God was doing at Logos Land.  It went really well.
I knew I had good news to share and that took all the pressure off.  I just asked each of them, "Have you heard what God is doing at Logos Land?" and proceeded to share about the miracles I had witnessed from the meetings.

A big thanks goes to those who backed me in prayer.  It was easy to witness.  The people were prepared and I  didn't have any problems.  I got to pray for a fellow that had bandages on his ankles from blisters.  I prayed for a lady that was going for dialysis every day and had never experienced the power of God. I gave out some million dollar bills to some teenagers that I stopped on the street and just chatted with them a bit.

About half the people weren't home so I left a brochure where they would discover it on their way into the house.  Not bad results for a nice Friday morning.

I had lots of brochures left and about 40 photocopies of a note that said something like, "Come Experience a Supernatural Touch from God Tonight."  I was wondering what to do with them and I felt the nudge to go to Pembroke, a city about 15 minutes away.  As I started down the highway I asked the Lord where to go because the water baptism was at 1pm.  The Lord said to go to WalMart.

I got to Wal Mart and immediately started talking to people as they got into their cars, out of their cars, and as they walked by.  Many people had not heard about the meetings or about the miracles.  I made my way into Wal Mart giving out brochures and talking to people as I went and then got some lunch and talked to a couple of employees too and some of the customers.  I had fun giving out million dollar bills to the children too.  LOl.... of course I asked the parents if it was okay first.

Within 30 minutes I had talked to another 20 people easily and put the rest of the leaflets and brochures on cars in the parking lot.

Out of the approximate 50 people I talked to I only had two people that said not to waste my brochure on them and one person who wanted to argue that she didn't want anything to do with religion.  That's about 47 successful witnessing interactions.

We are definitely in the end times!  The people are hungry for the supernatural and many were amazed as I told them story after story of being on the ministry team and what I had witnessed.  One fellow that was sitting in his truck, looking at me sceptically as I shared some testimonies and I responded by putting a hand on his shoulder and saying, "We all need love."  That's all I felt to do but I know that God used that to witness to him.

It is not about having a canned response or knowing all the answers. It's about letting Holy Spirit flow through you. You might say something completely different and that's okay as long as we lean on Holy Spirit because we really don't know what to say or do.  He has promised to fill our mouths and his love will flow and the people will get touched.  (Luke 21:14-15, Rom 5:5)

So my thoughts for the day are:
1. Make sure you have prayer back up before you go out to do any kind of evangelism work.

2. Know what you want to share about. For me it was about the meeting, "Did you hear about the tent meetings at Logos Land?  We've seen so many people healed  and touched by God..."

3. Excitement is contagious and dispels fear. You can't be full of Holy Spirit and fear at the same time so build yourself up in your most holy faith and speak out loud all the things you've seen and experienced.  The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy.  It really does make a difference! (2Tim. 1:7, Jude 1:20, Rev. 19:10, 1John 4:18)

4. Go!  Don't let anything or anyone stop you.  If someone is negative move on.  Ask Holy Spirit to guide and direct your steps, who to talk to, which cars to put a brochure on, etc., etc.

Have a great day as you step out of your boat/comfort zone!  The water is really great!

I See Them...

I got this song during a time in my life when I was very busy and not really doing anything for the Kingdom of God.  It really haunted me and that was when I decided to learn how to share my faith with others.  It has been a wonderful journey and I can't begin to count how many people I have impacted for the Kingdom of God so far.  God takes our little efforts and multiplies them. Hallelujah!

Great Testimony about Giving Out Tracts.

This is the testimony that inspired me to start giving out tracts again.  Enjoy!
(It's here or in the post above... your choice.)  The Man on George Street
What I did when I was too chicken to give one out was to leave a tract on a car's windshield.  Bathrooms are a perfect place to leave one too. Really any place where people will stop and pick it up is fair game.  It's amazing how after giving out a few you want to start talking to people.  Holy Spirit is a really good helper.   Don't worry about the fear you might experience at the beginning.  Keep declaring that you are bold because you are righteous and that you haven't been given a spirit of fear.  (Prov. 28:1, 2Tim. 1:7) Then command the devil to get under your feet where he belongs.
A church study found out that on average  it takes eight different witnesses before someone gets saved.  You never know how close they are to reaching out to the Lord.  People wear all sorts of masks and only Holy Spirit knows how ready they are.
Have a great day with Him!  I declare that you are bold because you are righteous.  Yes, you are bold and stouthearted and you don't faint along the way.  You are armed with God's love, strength and power. Hallelujah! Amen.

Sunday School Yesterday & How to Start Prophesying

Sunday school went really well yesterday.  We had a fairly short class and since the girls have been going over the basis of prophesy I thought we would focus on how to get ready to give a word.

First we praise and worship and stay thankful because that's how we draw the manifest presence of God around us.  Also, He inhabits or is enthroned in the praises of His people (ref Ps. 100:4, 22:3)

Second,  we pleaded the blood of Jesus over us and asked the Lord to show us if there was any sin that would hinder us from hearing His voice (ref. Is. 59:2).

Third, we checked to make sure our motives were right. We want to bless and encourage people.

Fourth, we asked the Lord to "shed His love abroad in our hearts".  (Rom. 5:5)

Fifth, we asked the Lord to give us a word to encourage someone and asked Holy Spirit to confirm the word to them when we shared it.

Then I went on say that when we are in public places, we can ask the Lord to highlight someone to us. Sometimes, my eyes will be drawn to a person over and over again.  Other times I will see a person and immediately a word pops into my head. Sometimes, I will look at someone and  get a feeling of hurt, anxiety, or pain and I know God wants me to go talk to them.

These are just some of the ways God will highlight a person that He wants you to share with.  So keep asking clarifying questions and don't  let fear grip you.  The Bible says that the righteous are as bold as a lion.  "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind." (ref. Prov. 28:1, 2Tim. 1:7)

When you go up to a person  always ask their permission to share the word you got from the Lord with them.  I have only been refused once in many years and I think that was because they were in a hurry and thought I was going to take too long.

When speaking to the person leave out all the Christian jargon that they might not understand.

If they are broken up because of the word you gave, ask the Lord what to do next.  Sometimes, I have been allowed to pray for people right in the grocery store!  If they do not want prayer that is perfectly all right. You have planted some supernatural seed into their lives. I always carry million dollar bills that I give out before I leave.  They have the gospel message on the back and when they are ready I know Holy Spirit will use the words on the tract.

We then practiced giving words of prophesy.  The Bible says to prophesy in proportion to your faith (Rom 12:6) so  we picked a man we didn't know and asked the Lord for one word each for him.

After praying for a minute each of the girls got a different word for him.  I wrote down what they said in point form and asked the Lord and them if they wanted to elaborate.  It was really good stuff.

I was so blessed to see the willingness of these girls that I asked them if we could do one more person.  There had been a man at the front of the church that I felt to go hug at the beginning of service and I didn't because of protocol.  (See how easily fear can shut you down?)  Anyhow,  I wanted to somehow make it up to him so the girls and I prayed and we got some neat words.

One of the girls got the word 'coffee' and I thought, "Coffee what?"  Immediately I heard that the Lord likes having coffee with him.   So I put that together with the other words and the girls were able to add more thoughts to the words they got.  It was awesome.

We gave the prophesies to the resepective men  and  I found out that the 'coffee' man said that the word was bang on for him.  Isn't God amazing?   You should see how excited these young girls are to teach the Sunday service how to prophesy!  That's going to be an interesting service.

Let me pray for you now:  "Lord I ask that You would help this precious person to share  Your words of encouragement and love with others.  Give them lots of words to share and the boldness and compassion to do it well.  We give you all the glory for what You have already started to do in them. Amen!

P.S.  Make sure you write down all your exploits in your notebook.  Then you can ask the Lord questions about each prophetic encounter later on.  There are always ways we can improve. Also, you will have lots of encouragement to get you excited to go out again.

Writing Your Personal Testimony

This is a very powerful tool and I exhort you to start writing yours.  After all, the "Testimony of Jesus and what He's done in your life is the spirit of Prophesy" (ref. Rev. 19:10).

We all have a testimony.   It doesn't have to be earth shattering to be valuable. How God lead you to the truth, is what we want to focus on. There are people that your testimony will reach that won't relate to mine at all.  Every testimony is valuable.

Some helpful pointers:

1. Keep it short and to the point.  Less than  500 words. You want to have  a beginning, key points in your process, the final results and then how the reader can get saved.

2.  Avoid  Christian lingo that unbelievers won't understand.

3. Edit, edit and edit.  Get a friend to help you with that.

4. Make sure you are clear about what they need to do to get saved.

5.  Leave them with an address, phone number or web site to get more information.

6. Use a card making program for your  layout.

When you want to hand them out you can use an opener like, "Here's my story. I hope you like it."
I had great success giving this out at the University and at the Mall.  The personal touch really adds a lot to it.

Now, I'm going to show you my first attempt at writing my testimony and then we can critique it together, okay? Here goes...

My Story...

I was sick of living.  Tired of the parties, the drinking, all the games I played trying to forget my life. Nothing was changed the following morning. I was still the same, just more tired.  I’d been told so many times that I was 'a failure' that I had started believing it.  I didn’t know how to get out of the rut.  I was tired of running from myself and my past. I had no hope and I was really tired of all the mind-games people played.

I didn’t know much about God. I knew I was a sinner.  I lied, I sweared constantly,  I didn’t obey my parents and I was hurting so bad that I didn't care.

One night I tried to end it all with an overdose of drugs and a twenty-sixer of Vodka.  I blurted out, “If there’s a God, I really need to know.” Nothing happened so I kept drinking. Later, I noticed that every time I passed out something would jar me awake in my bed.

I was all by myself in my little room. I knew that. I couldn't move on my own at all!  I was just waiting for the drugs and alcohol to do their work.  I got mad the second time it happened.  I thought to myself “Gees *@!!  I can’t even die right!”

Then it dawned on me that I was being kept alive.  What a feeling! To all of a sudden discover that there is something out there, and that He cares about a failure like me. Peace like I’ve never felt before washed over me and I fell into a deep, deep sleep.

I woke up the next morning with no side effects at all. Amazing, as I had taken enough drugs to kill a horse, so to speak.  I had absolutely no idea what to do at this point.  I knew I should be dead.

It took me a while to find that peace again...

He’s got a name. It’s Jesus.  I was always a keener and I started checking out things I had been told.  We were taught a lot of lies in school.

Over twenty years later and I’d never go back.  Yes, there have been some rough times, but He’s never left me. I went back to school and graduated. Then I got an engineering degree. I have four children now, when the doctors gave me no hope of ever having children.  Jesus--He’s my healer too.   He's Wisdom too. There’s so much wisdom in the Bible.  It’s helped turn around my self-talk and break the curses of the past.  Life is so worth living. When you have Jesus and He’s Lord of your life, you have a great destiny.

So where are you?

If I told you that you would eventually have to jump off an airplane, you’d want to be wearing a parachute, right? Just knowing that one existed won't help you.  In the same way, we are all going to die someday and the parachute is Jesus.  "There is no other name by which man can be saved" (John 14:6).  You don’t have to believe me. Check it out like I did.  No other religion ‘forgives sin.”

I hope you start asking questions too, and may you find Jesus, the Prince of Peace!

God bless you, in Jesus’ Name!!

------------------------------------------------------

This was the first tract I did.  I had good success giving it to students at the university and to people at the malls.

If I were going to do it again I would include scripture.  I would change the part after
"So where are you?"  to something like...

If you died today do you know for certain that you would go to heaven or are you just hoping? I've got good news for you.  The bible says that if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and confess him with your mouth, You shall be saved. (Romans 10:9-10)  Just ask Jesus  to forgive all the things you've done wrong and come into your heart to stay.
 God Bless you!

If you've done that  or have any questions we want to hear from you.  Please contact us at the following address, phone number, church etc.

I hope this encourages you to work on your testimony.  We should always be able to share it with somebody verbally, whenever we have the opportunity, because it truly is a miracle. God will use it for His Glory to touch other lives.  Hallelujah!

Let me bless you now. "Lord I ask that you would help this reader to write out his/her testimony and that You would show them how to word it.   Help them  to memorize the important parts.  Help them to learn Your word so that they can share it with others and give them boldness to do this.  In Jesus' Name I ask. Amen!"

Last Night Ministering, (written Nov. 27, 2010)

 Myspace Graphics
Myspace Graphics, God Graphics at WishAFriend.com

Hi Saints.  Something unusual happened last night during the ministry time at our Friday night healing service so I thought I would attempt to share what happened.

I was sitting between two ladies in the front row of the church sharing some destiny words that the Lord had given me when one lady noticed that a leader  was waving me over to come help him.

I excused myself and went over to help him and he told me to put my hand on the lady's lower back.  I started to pray for her and got  the giggles almost immediately because she wasn't receiving the anointing we were 'pulling in' for her. (Hang on, I will explain.)

I told this leader that there was a blockage and asked the Lord what to do and He told me "thankfulness".  I didn't get the opportunity to talk to her as the other fellow was talking.   We weren't getting very far as this blockage had her cut off from Heaven's flow.

The leader eventually left and I still had my hand on her back. Another man was praying for her and the Lord gave me a detailed word for him.  He was so excited that it affected the lady, who I think was his wife. She turned to face me and I was able to give her a word of knowledge from God's heart and I could see it softening her heart.  I then felt the Lord prompt me to share about choosing to be thankful.

I shared by way of example, "Thank You Lord that my feet don't hurt. Thank You Lord that my head doesn't hurt. Thank You Lord that I have shoes to wear. Thank You Lord for my wonderful husband and my beautiful children. Thank You Lord that I have a bed to sleep in."

As I was sharing this, God's presence showed up and her back got mightily touched and she started to move it around, from side to side and started talking really fast in an Asian language. She was so excited!

I explained to her how the Lord inhabits the praises of his people and that we enter His presence with thanksgiving and praise". (Psalm 16:11, Psalm 100:4)   The Lord's presence backed off a bit while I shared this, so I started giving thanks again and a thick, tingly weight of God's glory came down on the three of us.

Talk about the Lord confirming the word that was spoken! I was rejoicing last night because some times I have shared the word and not felt His presence confirming it with signs and wonders.

These are new days.  I was so encouraged to keep going.  I asked the Lord to help me share with boldness outside of church again and He told me that if I would stay in thankfulness and praise that the anointing would flow wherever I was.  Hallelujah!   Now, we know that the Lord is 'no respecter of persons', so what He has told me will apply to your life too.  (ref. Acts. 10:34) Therefore, I exhort to stay thankful and claim that His anointing flows through you every day.

Now go and expect Him to do mighty things through you! Bless you as you pursue Him for more in your life!

Big hugs,
Brenda Gale

Quick Check List for Words of Knowledge

Hi Saints.   I keep meeting Christians who are unaware of how words of knowledge work so I'm going to give you a power packed,  in depth list to help you.

First of all,  all of us have had a word of knowledge at some point in our lives. The problem is we didn't recognize it.  You can feel it when you walk into a room where an argument is going on.  The people might be quiet but you are picking up on the spiritual ambiance.

The second time is when there are people around you with colds, sneezing and coughing.  All of a sudden your throat starts to get sore or you start to sniffle.  Yes, that's a word of knowledge. It takes 24 to 48 hours for a cold virus to incubate in your body so why the instant sniffles?   God wants you to pray for others.  Freely you have received, freely give.  (Matt. 10:8)

The biggest clue to recognizing a word of knowledge as it comes to your various senses, is that you didn't have it a few minutes ago.  The best thing you can do is ask Holy Spirit, "Is this for me or for somebody else?" As you get better (with practice) at discerning the various words of knowledge around,  you will be able to ask who is it for and the Lord will give you more details.

Keep praying in tongues and stay in thanksgiving and praise so that your spiritual gate will not be shut.  We are the living gates of Psalm 24 after all.

You might get a different sensation for a particular sickness than I do and that's okay.  Just keep asking Holy Spirit questions and realize that you are the Lord's hands and feet in this world right now.  Rebuke the sickness, cast the spirit out into dry places, in Jesus' name  and declare, "You are healed in Jesus' name," then claim them for the Kingdom of God. ( Job. 22:28, 1 Pet. 2:24, Luke 18:19, Matt. 12:43) Finally, remember it takes on average eight witnesses for a person to get saved.  Your word of knowledge is an important part of God's effort to get them saved, healed and delivered.

So here's my list:

-Sniffles or an itchy nose = a cold virus.

-sore throat  = sore throat from a cold or from singing, preaching too long.

-a pain under my right arm pit = cancer (to me) from when I fought off breast cancer curse in my early thirties.

-people with moving pain symptoms = spirit of infirmity.  Loose angels to get rid of it.

-sudden desire for someone for no reason (visual, sensual)  = spirit of lust

-Pin pricks on the top of my head = witchcraft.  Break any and all  curses (Is 54:17),    using Psalm 149: especially verses 6-9) Loose angels to take them out.

-sudden sharp pain in my ear= somebody telling lies or an ear infection.

-Brain fog, sudden loss of words = curse or witchcraft,  (Bind wicked king,  Balak using Psalm 149 and your angels)  This Happens a lot to street preachers and ministers. The enemy is trying to stop the anointed word from getting out.

-People dozing in the service = Spirit of religion.  Decree that they are hungry for the Word and alert to receive.  Can be a hot room or it's a spirit attacking, religion lethargy and complacency... especially if you notice that after you pray for some people, others in a different area of the church start to doze.

-Any sudden body pain =  word of knowledge for somebody in the vicinity or it can be for a loved one. Ask the Lord questions to help you pin point it.

-Arguing, fighting = strife, spirit of contention and fighting.

-Cynicism, superiority, disdain = spirit of pride, criticism  (leviathan spirit).

-People misunderstanding me or twisting what I say = spirit of leviathan. Loose your angels to take care of things.  Decree that the plans of the enemy are confounded in your life.  Decree that You walk in God's favor all the time,  You are a blessing everywhere you go.

-Hypocritical people criticizing those who try to act on the Word.= religious spirit, Haman or Pharaoh  are the strong men.  Loose your angels and tell the enemy where he can go.

-Sharp pain in an eye= can be a physical word for someone or it can be a blinding spirit to keep you from revelation.  Also, cockatrice spirit operates this way.

-Head ache pain = Can be physically caused but also, unforgiveness, bitterness, oppression or Jezebel spirit attacking. Keep a short account with the Lord.  He wants you to stay in His presence and not to fall short of His glory.  Also watch judgmental words spoken against leadership in particular.

-Sudden heaviness or negative thoughts  when you were happy a minutes before = someone around you might be struggling with depression or oppression.  Decree  that sighing and sorrow must flee away.  You have been given Joy in His presence,  and your cup runs over.  (Is. 35:10,  John 15:11, Luke 10:21, Psalm 23:5)  Claim that  the Lord's oil of joy would overflow in your/their lives. (Is. 61:3)

-Sudden flash of blackness or hopeless feeling = spirit of suicide or a death curse.  Break it and speak life over the person. Get their angels activated.

-Pain around my heart = heart problems most of the time but it's also been a spirit of death Holy Spirit wants me to rebuke.  Also, get their angels going to help them out.

There are probably more words of knowledge that I have come across, but this will get you started.  The most important thing I can advise you to do is stay humble.  Ask the Lord what it is, who is it for and what He would like you to do with it.  As you can tell... I am  the Lord's question box and He's never, ever gotten upset with me for asking questions. What He's done for me He will do for you because He is no respecter or persons. (Acts 10:34)

Finally, make sure you bind any retaliation, backlash or transference of spirits after you pray for anybody. Keep your armor on (Eph 6), plead the blood of Jesus over yourself, practice speaking good words (Phil 4:8) and keep the praise coming out of your mouth. (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16) That makes you pretty well invincible, Hallelujah!

I Bless you, in Jesus' name; physically, spiritually, mentally and financially.  Lord, help this precious person to hear and recognize the words of knowledge around them and give them wisdom what to do with them. Give them the anointing You've given me, please. (If you were here I would lay my hands on you and impart to you, to accelerate your growth)  I declare that you do have lots of joy in your journey with the Lord. Amen and Amen!
