Trying to Outgive God

I am having fun these days.  I have been trying to out give God.  It's been very tough... He seems to delight in giving back far more than I could ever ask or imagine.

For example, the fellow that usually does all the video editing was away for two months and I stepped up to help.  I didn't realize how much work it was and then the lady who also stepped up to help had to back out so I was left with the full work load.  The Lord gave me grace and just kept telling me to lay my life down.  Ouch.   That's not what we want to hear.  We want to pursue our dreams, our wants, our goals.

In any case I surrendered all, sometimes many times a week and learned a valuable skill.   My hat is off to all those who videotape church services.   It takes a lot of focus and concentration to follow a moving speaker for over an hour.  It always seems that as soon as you look away to give your eyes a break that that is when the speaker moves!

I won't mention all the equipment problems. I once told someone that the computer had crashed so we might be missing a portion of the service and he replied, "You need to release the anointing on all your equipment!"

Of course he was right, I just never thought of it!  We learn something new every day.

Anyhow.... the fellow that usually does the the editing is back so I only have half the work load now.  PTL!

I am sharing a clip I made from last Sunday's service. I was videotaping so I couldn't make notes.   It's got three similar prophesies on it by three different people! I think God was trying to make a point!
Truly, he is working while we wait on him and there's nothing greater than laying your life down for friends. (ref. Is. 64:4, John 15:13)

There you have it.... we can never out give God. Never!

Have a great day trying to out give God!

Baby Morph

The other day I gave a destiny word to a mom about her 10 week old baby in a store, at the cashier's spot. As I started speaking the 'word' the baby riveted his eyes on me. I saw his face morph for a 1/2 second to become an old man and I wondered how could this be? Then I heard the mom say that they call him the little old man because he acts so mature. I only had a second so I blessed her (the mom) and the cashier started talking to me about my purchases.

Weird eh? I didn't think anything of it at the time, but the little babies eyes kept coming back to me. It was eerie. When I was praying later, the Lord reminded me of the eyes and the morph and told me I should have done something about it.
Now I'm wondering what that 'something' is. After worshiping for a while,  I bound the spirit in the baby... then asked the Lord what I should do.  I didn't want the baby getting all upset at me casting that spirit out and then the mom associating the baby's behavior with the destiny word I shared today.  So I commanded the spirit to leave quietly without a fuss.  Then I claimed this little guy for the kingdom of God and I asked the Lord to raise up Godly witnesses in his life.  I broke the power of spoken curses over this little baby because the parents didn't know better and I blessed them all, spiritually, mentally, physically and financially.  After all, the power of blessing breaks and shatters every yoke.
This was definitely a learning experience and I am learning as I go. I will be more aware of what to do next time when I see a person's face 'morph' for a half second.
Let's pray... Thank you Lord for opening our eyes to the spirit realm.  Thank you Lord for showing us what to do with the information you are revealing to us.  Thank you Lord for joy in our journeys and lots of exciting testimonies about people getting set free and realizing that 'Jesus is Lord'.  Father, we decree, "Your kingdom come and your will be done today in our lives.  Let us be your living sacrifices and ambassadors today and live through us please."  Amen!
Bless you as you go today.

Wal Mart Words

I was at Wal Mart a few days ago and I thought, "Gees, I haven't given anyone an encouraging word today." I started praying and I spied a pregnant lady. Aha! I love prophesying destiny over babies.
As I walked around looking for the lady I started asking the Lord for one word for her.  You see I knew from Psalm 139 that the number of thoughts God has for us are uncountable.  All I needed was just one of his thoughts about this lady.  I knew from past experience that Holy Spirit has lots to say, so I boldly made my way, not having one word... yet.
I found the lady and asked if I could share what the Lord had given me.  As soon as I opened my mouth I all of a sudden knew that she was carrying a boy and that he was going to be a leader.  He had a special gift of wisdom too.  She was really blessed and let me pray for her for an easy labor and delivery.
As I walked away I was thanking God for the opportunity to bless this lady when I noticed that I was hearing words for each person I glanced at.  It was totally amazing!   I looked one way and got, pain, forgiveness and despair when I looked at three people. I stopped and looked the other way and saw hope, veil and knee at another three people.  Everywhere I looked the people had labels that I could hear inside of me when I looked at them.
I could have stayed there all night giving out destiny words to people.  God really wants this for us saints.  We are the generation that's going to make a difference.  Greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world.
Lord show my sister and brother how to walk in this.  Show them how many thoughts you have towards them. Help them to hear your voice more clearly in their quiet time with you and to jot down all the precious things you show them. Give them faith to see in the spirit like you did Jeremiah. Thank You Lord that Your love flushes out all fear in them.  Thank You Lord for going ahead of them and giving them a couple of opportunities to share encouraging words with people who will be receptive and appreciative. Amen! (Psalm 139:17, John 10:27, Hab. 2:2-3, Jer. 1:11, 1John 4:17)
Bless you!
Big hugs,

Follow Up to Three Days at the Mall

Initial table set up without candy dish & candies
Hello Saints.  I was just looking at the notes I made about the people that came to my table and the ones I visited in the mall. Saturday was the busiest by far. Whole families were stopping by my table.  It was amazing how God gave me words and/or pictures for all of them.  I figure about 100 people got words over the 3 sessions I was there.  Over thirty people got given the gospel message via the million dollar bill tract I was giving out and 5 people told me thanks for coming out and helping the people.  I saw about 10 people's jaws drop, stunned by what God gave me for them. Many other people confirmed the words I gave them.   Many wanted to know if all Christians could do this.  I replied to all of them, "All Christians can hear God's voice."

It was a really good investment in the community.  I was surprised to find out that over half the people that came to me had no idea that they could go to a charismatic church and get a word there from the Pastor or other ministry helper.  That is sad. We all need to get the word out about prophesy in the church being real and available today.

I heard myself telling some of the people, "You think I'm good.  You should see how detailed some of the other prophets are!"

Many times I didn't have anything till the people asked me for a word.  Sometimes God would give me something as they asked, and sometimes it was like I saw the blockage in their lives that was hindering them from their destiny.   I wish I had had more time to process it all and figure out how to respond. All I could do was give them what the Lord gave me.  The Lord helped me with each person.  I was amazed at how the approach and delivery would change from person to person.  Truly, God was helping me.

I was really encouraged to hear Pastor Jim saying he wished he could have been out there with me.  Then Pastor Mark was saying how he'd like to see whole teams going out to do this, in the Sunday service!  That would be so awesome!  Then when one gets discouraged, the other can encourage them.

Anyhow,  that's my recap.  I am still praying for the people I spoke over.  Turns out that one of the ladies God gave me a word for is the wife of the fellow I used to work with.  How amazing is that?  God's so good!

Anyhow, let's pray. "I declare that you are blessed and highly favored.  The Lord's Spirit is mighty in prophesy and the Lord's spirit is working mightily in you!   Have a great day asking the Lord what to pray for people around you.  (That's how I started growing in the word of knowledge). Amen!"

Destiny Words At The Mall This Week

Good Morning Saint!   I have had the best time at the mall this week, giving out Destiny Words and Spiritual Readings.  It was great encouraging and affirming people.

The Mall was very quiet when I first arrived on Thursday night so I walked around the hallway I was claiming for God and declared it was a Heaven invades Earth zone.

I then sat down and prayed in tongues and asked the Lord what was next. I had a pad of paper handy so that I could keep track of all the people I spoke over.

I want to tell you that as I sat there and asked the Lord, "What do you want to tell this person?" He answered me  in many diverse ways.

I got words for the teenagers at the Mustang car in the mall about their future careers.  I gave out Million Dollar Bill's with the gospel message on the back. I even got words for some of the employees at the mall about their family situations.

One young man that was hanging around the car the Lord told me to go tell him not to quit school, even though it might look like an option.

One older gentleman sat down on the bench close to me and I got the word 'regret' so I walked up to him and told him that I could see regret over him and that the Lord said it wasn't too late to change things... especially with his children.

I had some people ask me about how I could do this, so I was able to take them through the bible and talk about hearing God's voice.  A couple of people thanked me for giving of my time and coming to the mall to help people.

It was awesome!  I was all by myself for most of the night then a friend and her mother came by to visit. What  a blessing! I got a word of encouragement for her mom and we encouraged ourselves in the Lord.

Last night I was so busy that I didn't get a chance to write down all the words I gave.
I even found out that a Baptist church is praying for me!  How great is that!  The unity in this town is astounding me.  I really think we are ready for a major revival.

I noticed that a lady that was praying for me last night came under some pretty heavy attack so I was praying for her when I became aware of it.  "Lord bless and help all those that have prayed for me and this table.  Confound every plan of the enemy  in Jesus name!  I speak strength and health to every area of their lives and I declare that though the enemy tries to attack one way, he's got to flee seven ways! (ref. Deut. 28:7)  Amen!

The Lord told me that I wouldn't always be alone at the mall.  How great is that?   I think that once people realize how much fun it is, they will want to come do it too.

I bless you in Jesus' name!  May you discover the treasure that He's placed in side of you and give it away to others. Amen!

Disappointment Can't Stop You

Most people won't break out of the mold because of the fear of disappointment. I have realized that if I don't do anything, then nothing will change!

So what do we fear and why do we fear it?

Failure and disappointment might have a huge grip on us because of peer pressure growing up, criticism or past failures. We need to get honest with God and ask Him, "What is holding me back?"

Or maybe we have judged someone who stepped out and tried to do what we have dreamed about. This will definitely bring a curse on ourselves. Yes it's far easier to stay safe and criticize, but there's no testimony or victory there. (If that's you check for a root of bitterness.)

Everyone remembers Peter stepping out of the boat but nobody remembers who else was in the boat-- safe. I noticed that Jesus helped Peter continue when his faith wavered, while the other disciples sat. (Matt. 14:29-33)

If you have a dream to do something for God, then start where you are at. Don't let anything stop you from taking that first step. The fear of what people will say or do to you leads to bondage. (reference Proverbs 29:25) But, whoever puts their trust in the Lord will be safe.

We can't fear disappointment. I remember once the Lord told me that the Father's love and plans for us go on forever and ever. He's always got a back up plan for when we miss it trying to discern His directions. He's even got back up plans for when we willfully choose not to listen and pay the consequences. (LOL... that was me for a few years when I was young in the Lord.)

If we don't dare to try, we lose the experience and wisdom we could have learned along the way.

The average millionaire has failed many times before he/she hit the right combination of idea and business strategy. A friend that was in business used to say that before a business person becomes successful he/she will fail 3 times. 3 times! So what if no one every started? We wouldn't have any great inventions or patents. How boring would that be? I like disposable diapers, laptops and dvd players, thank you very much!

So I say let's get the failures over with! I want to do what God has prepared for me to do. There is no greater joy than being used by Holy Spirit to help someone.

The other day I was in the grocery store and I thought to myself, "Hmmm I haven't given a word to anyone today." About ten feet away was a young man stocking shelves so I asked the Lord to show me what to say and then I stopped. I looked back and asked him a question. "Are you saving for school?"

"No, he replied."
"You should be. I see so many talents in you. God says that..." and on I went.

That man will never forget me. I called out the gold I saw in him and hopefully steered him into a new direction in his life. Praise the Lord!

So what if he says, "Oh I'm not interested in God." So what? Everybody wants encouragement, Everybody. They'll go pay lots of money to psychics in the hopes of getting some help and direction. And God has much better plans for them than the devil!

So start where you are at. Ask the Lord what baby step you can take today. A journey starts with one step. It gets easier and easier after you start because you have momentum working for you.

Lord I bless the person reading this blog. May they realize that You are a super big God and You delight in our every attempt to follow Your voice and Your direction. I thank You so much for making your directions real to us. Show us what to say to people to bless them and encourage them. Thank You for joy in our journey with You and courage and boldness to make a difference for eternity. Amen.

Big hugs,
Brenda Gale Thompson
