Divine Mandate

This Article from Elijah List is really ministering to me so I'm going to share it.  The full article is here...   http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/11719

"Far too often many devoted saints throughout history gave themselves to the work of ministry but somehow lost the intimacy and communion that brought them consistent anointing and power. A loving Personality communicating with His people is a dominant theme throughout the Scriptures. Where He finds a place of receptivity among humans, He shares insight, direction, correction, encouragement, and promise through various manifestations of His Spirit.
Consequently we must invest ourselves in intimate exchange and sacred fellowship with the Lord and be completely unwilling to compromise that relationship for any purpose. Notice the heart cry of the apostle Paul. Even after many years of powerful ministry, his passionate desire was to "know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings" (Philippians 3:10).  (That's a good warning eh?  Can't get too busy doing for others because the cost is too high!)
Besides the Great Commission to bring the Gospel of salvation and power and the more important necessity of having intimate relationship and exchange with the Lord, a third mandate that is perhaps equally as important – to be the agency through which the entire earth is to be filled with God's glory."...

Then the Lord asked Isaiah the question: Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8
When Isaiah yielded himself to this commission, he heard the unusual instruction coming from the Lord concerning the eyes and ears of the people of his generation. They were to be rendered spiritually blind and deaf. Grace was not given for that generation to see with their eyes nor hear with their ears God's unfolding plan of redemption and His determination to fellowship with a Body of people on the earth, spreading Kingdom authority.
Jesus emphatically quoted this passage in His discourse to the religious leaders during His earthly ministry as well. From among all the people living in Jesus' day, only a small remnant received the Messiah and the life He imparted (Matthew 13:14-15; Mark 4:12; Luke 8:10).
As Isaiah's instruction continues, the Lord states "lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and return and be healed" (Isaiah 6:10). Healing occurs when our eyes and ears are opened and our hearts are permitted to understand.

Healing the Breach
Healing is not merely the restoration of bodies and emotions, but more importantly the restoration of the breach between God and humanity. That is why our adversary has so emphatically opposed the impartation of revelatory gifts.
We can only participate in this Kingdom plan to the extent that we "see" and "hear" with Spirit "eyes and ears," thereby eliciting comprehension to our hearts. This insight cannot be the mechanical articulation of words with merely an intellectual perception of the Almighty's sovereignty and glory. We are recruited when we are "overcoming" saints anointed with the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation who view, comprehend, and experience the unveiling of God's kingly authority, dominion, and glory and give expression to it.
The prophet Isaiah was granted the great privilege of seeing Heaven's design at the throne of God as seraphim declared to one another: "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts." They were allowed to see with their eyes demonstrations of His majesty and authority and give expression to it. Their words began to fill the temple with smoke and glory through the witness of their eyes and the expression of their lips the revelation of God sitting upon His throne in absolute and perfect supremacy and sovereignty.
As the seraphim gave glory to God and God received the glory due Him, more of His divine attributes emanated to them causing an even greater demonstration of praise and glory. This Kingdom exchange and heavenly design continued filling the atmosphere with the glory and illumination of God until the entire temple was saturated with the appearance and revelation of His glory.
That is the fashion of Heaven to be transferred to earth and our assignment – to create an atmosphere on the earth that is consistent with His nature and character in which He can dwell. If we can fulfill this mandate, all the other purposes and desires for which we long will naturally be established and achieved by His Presence and anointing resting in us.
Certainly, Isaiah must have been compelled to likewise participate in this exchange of glory, yet he recognized the unworthiness and impurity of his own lips to give glory to God in such a holy surrounding. Fortunately, the provision of Heaven purified him and removed his uncleanness allowing him to give glory to God.

Who Will Go For Us
This commissioning of Isaiah was not as a prophet. The Scriptures plainly report that he was already functioning in the office of a prophet long before the experience of Isaiah 6. Perhaps, Isaiah was being asked "Who will go for Us?" to begin filling the earth with the glory of the Lord of hosts as witnessed in Heaven before God's throne.
Isaiah observed the atmosphere surrounding Heaven's throne. He saw Heaven's design created around the kingship and dominion of the Lord and the unveiling of His glory as seen by those witnessing the nature and character of His kingly authority.
In a similar way, this same atmosphere must be created on earth in His Bride, for the Lord's dominion and Presence to be fully manifested in our generation. That is the will of Heaven being done on earth. It is the creation of the environment in which the Lord is able to dwell. This eternal atmosphere of glory and beauty provides a surrounding consistent with His divine nature and holy character. This is our lofty mandate.  (Awesome eh?  Now we know why it's so important to let Holy Spirit show us stuff in heaven when we worship and feel his presence around us.  Those pictures are very real!  They are opening the door to greater revelation of what's happening in Heaven and what God wants to do on the earth.)

The Power of Communion

I want to share a new insight that the Lord has given me concerning communion.  Let's read the back ground text first.

1Cor. 11:23-26     "For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."  (vs23-24)

In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. (vs. 25-26)

I used to take communion at home when the Lord led me to.   It was a way of cleansing myself from sin and reaffirming that I was His.  The Lord kept highlighting to me that I was doing this 'in remembrance of him' and I started to wonder what that meant besides the obvious.  I wasn't getting it!

Then I read the next part we are to "proclaim the Lord's death till he comes." (vs, 26)  What was the big deal about this statement?

As I meditated on it and asked the Lord why he was highlighting this to me it came to me that I really don't remember my covenant as well as I should.  He took all my sickness and gave me his divine health. (ref. 1Pet. 2:24) He took all my poverty and gave me all his abundance. (3John 2, Phl. 4:19)  He took all my guilt and gave me his peace of mind (ref. Rom. 8:11)  He took all my anxiety and gave me his plans and strategies (James 1:5, Ps. 112:4)  He took my orphan spirit and placed me in his family (ref. Rom 8:15, Heb. 13:5, Gal. 3:26)

Part of remembering our covenant is to enforce what it means.  If I know that healing was purchased for me on the cross of Calvary then I have no business allowing a cold or sickness to attack me.  I need to aggressively declare that sickness can't dwell in my body.  Some people calling this action "resisting the enemy."  (ref. James 4:9, 1Pet. 5:9)

If I know that God took all my poverty on the cross so that I could have abundance then I need to resist poverty, lack and famine with the word of God.  He wishes above all things that I might prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. (3John 2) This includes finances.

If Jesus took all the judgement that we deserved so that we could have his peace then we need to enforce the victory that he won for us with promises from the word of God.  He is our peace! (Eph. 2:14) There is no condemnation anymore... correction yes, because he wants us to grow more and more like him, but never any condemnation. (Rom 8:29, 2 Tim 3:16-17)

We are his ambassadors now. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (ref. 2 Cor. 5:20, 1 Pet. 2:9)

Communion has taken on a whole new meaning for me.  Now I know that the Lord wants me to reaffirm who I am in him and all that he purchased for me... aggressively.

May I encourage you to start taking communion at home and to really think about all that Jesus did for you?  He wants this for us.  The Bible says that all creation is awaiting the revealing of the sons of God that it might be delivered from it's bondage (ref. Rom 8:19-21)  Time is getting short.  It's up to us now. We are the generation that will stand for all he wants to do in the earth.

I bless you in Jesus' name.  May you know his love more deeply, may you walk with him more closely and may you hear his "well done" every day, In Jesus' name I ask. Amen!

I bless you abundantly; physically, mentally, financially, spiritually and relationally.
Big hugs,

Miracle In Our Orchard

The last few years we have had apple scab attack our apple trees.  This has been devastating as it takes a lot of fungicide spraying to control the fungus and we don't normally spray our orchard.

Last year we decided to go take the course required before we could by the fungicide, but when we found out it was going to cost us a couple of hundred dollars, we postponed it and then found out that there were not any more courses to take that summer.

It was a horrible crop last year.  The apples were the size of a walnut or smaller and black with split skins.  Most of them didn't ripen and we had only a couple of younger trees that were scab resistant. I ended up getting apples elsewhere so I could make apple crisps  for the freezer.

This year I was prepared to take the course and pay the substantial fee when my husband found out that we do not qualify to take the course because we are not a commercial orchard with farm income.

Well,  there was nothing else I could do.  All my options were exhausted.  So I told the Lord, "It's up to you. We have tried everything we can."

Every time I wanted to grumble I kept quiet.  Every time I wanted to get frustrated with all the mowing and maintenance I chose to Thank God that He was looking after it.  I ended up avoiding the orchard for a whole month.  You can imagine how tall the grass was!

I finally had to go cut the grass and as I was cutting I couldn't help but notice that most of the trees were scab free and the apples were looking really good on them. Could it be?  I told my husband and we went back to inspect the trees and we determined that almost all of them were scab free.

How does this happen?  I don't know.  Once the fungus is in the soil it's almost impossible to get rid of, even when you use an aggressive spraying regime.  We had nothing to spray with and we didn't want to destroy the trees and replant with scab resistant varieties.

All I know is that as I worship Him and exalt His name, He does stuff. Faith rests. It doesn't gripe.  Resting in faith is almost like giving up.... but you keep your confession lined up with His word and what you are believing for.

We have the privilege of serving a great, loving God.  He is so awesome.  He can cleanse our land so easily.  He can cleanse our hearts just as easily-- if we will let Him.

On that note I want to encourage you to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge His sovereignty and He will direct your steps." (ref. Prob. 3:5-6)

For us, He knows that we love to give hay-wagon rides through our orchard. He already knows how much fun we have walking through the orchard, fellow-shipping with Holy Spirit and enjoying all the fruit. He knows how many people will be blessed by our place. He knows!

Someone once said, "When God is all you have, then you have everything." That sums up life well.

I bless you today as you pursue Holy Spirit. May you know his sweet fellowship and communion more and more. Amen!

Big hugs,
