Hi. I haven't dropped off the planet. I have gotten my gardens going this year and I put in two hummingbird feeders so there wouldn't be so many fights.
Also, I have been riding my horse with a dear friend and it's been so much fun!
Here's me before we actually go out.
Anyhow, I was recently asked how I manage to keep smiling with all the work I do volunteering at church. I think the key is to ask God how much you are supposed to do and only do that amount. I'm having to get better at saying, "No." And no means no. No guilt trips will move me. If God's not in it I don't want to do it.
Too many people get burnt out at churches with the work load and then they don't want to do anything. I don't want to get to that point. When I struggled with saying 'no' to people in authority over me I got a book out from the library about boundaries and how to enforce them.
You can only do so much! It's not your responsibility to keep their world turning! So make sure you take your day off a week and keep your relationship with God your top priority. If you expect your reward from God you are doing well. If you are expecting promotion, recognition or opportunities from your Pastor etc. you might be disappointed.
Clear concise communication about what you can and can't do will help to avoid conflicts down the road. It's so important.
I hope what I shared helps you to keep your priorities straight. There's absolutely no point in getting so busy that you don't have time for God. You can't replace that hour every day with him. That's how the growth happens. We think we're waiting on God to do something and all the while He's waiting for us to come away and just spend time with Him. It's tragic how easily the days slip by!
I am reminded of an acronym that Gloria Copeland uses...
S = Satan
C = Constantly
U = Uses
D = Distractions!
Therefore, let's keep scheduling in our time with God before the day fills up.
Bless you!

Divine Mandate
This Article from Elijah List is really ministering to me so I'm going to share it. The full article is here... http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/11719
Isaiah observed the atmosphere surrounding Heaven's throne. He saw Heaven's design created around the kingship and dominion of the Lord and the unveiling of His glory as seen by those witnessing the nature and character of His kingly authority.
In a similar way, this same atmosphere must be created on earth in His Bride, for the Lord's dominion and Presence to be fully manifested in our generation. That is the will of Heaven being done on earth. It is the creation of the environment in which the Lord is able to dwell. This eternal atmosphere of glory and beauty provides a surrounding consistent with His divine nature and holy character. This is our lofty mandate. (Awesome eh? Now we know why it's so important to let Holy Spirit show us stuff in heaven when we worship and feel his presence around us. Those pictures are very real! They are opening the door to greater revelation of what's happening in Heaven and what God wants to do on the earth.)

"Far too often many devoted saints
throughout history gave themselves to the work of ministry but somehow
lost the intimacy and communion that brought them consistent anointing
and power. A loving Personality communicating with His people is a
dominant theme throughout the Scriptures. Where He finds a place of
receptivity among humans, He shares insight, direction, correction,
encouragement, and promise through various manifestations of His Spirit.
Consequently we must invest
ourselves in intimate exchange and sacred fellowship with the Lord and
be completely unwilling to compromise that relationship for any purpose.
Notice the heart cry of the apostle Paul. Even after many years of
powerful ministry, his passionate desire was to "know Him, and the power
of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings" (Philippians
3:10). (That's a good warning eh? Can't get too busy doing for others because the cost is too high!)
Besides the Great Commission to
bring the Gospel of salvation and power and the more important necessity
of having intimate relationship and exchange with the Lord, a third
mandate that is perhaps equally as important – to be the agency through which the entire earth is to be filled with God's glory."...
Then the Lord asked Isaiah the question: Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8
When Isaiah yielded himself to
this commission, he heard the unusual instruction coming from the Lord
concerning the eyes and ears of the people of his generation. They were
to be rendered spiritually blind and deaf. Grace was not given for that
generation to see with their eyes nor hear with their ears God's
unfolding plan of redemption and His determination to fellowship with a
Body of people on the earth, spreading Kingdom authority.
Jesus emphatically quoted this passage in His discourse to the
religious leaders during His earthly ministry as well. From among all
the people living in Jesus' day, only a small remnant received the
Messiah and the life He imparted (Matthew 13:14-15; Mark 4:12; Luke
8:10).
As Isaiah's instruction
continues, the Lord states "lest they see with their eyes, hear with
their ears, understand with their hearts, and return and be healed"
(Isaiah 6:10). Healing occurs when our eyes and ears are opened and our
hearts are permitted to understand.
Healing the Breach
Healing
is not merely the restoration of bodies and emotions, but more
importantly the restoration of the breach between God and humanity. That is why our adversary has so emphatically opposed the impartation of revelatory gifts.
We can only participate in this
Kingdom plan to the extent that we "see" and "hear" with Spirit "eyes
and ears," thereby eliciting comprehension to our hearts. This insight
cannot be the mechanical articulation of words with merely an
intellectual perception of the Almighty's sovereignty and glory. We are
recruited when we are "overcoming" saints anointed with the Spirit of
Wisdom and Revelation who view, comprehend, and experience the unveiling
of God's kingly authority, dominion, and glory and give expression to
it.
The prophet Isaiah was granted
the great privilege of seeing Heaven's design at the throne of God as
seraphim declared to one another: "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of
Hosts." They were allowed to see with their eyes demonstrations of His
majesty and authority and give expression to it. Their words began to
fill the temple with smoke and glory through the witness of their eyes
and the expression of their lips the revelation of God sitting upon His
throne in absolute and perfect supremacy and sovereignty.
As the seraphim gave glory to God
and God received the glory due Him, more of His divine attributes
emanated to them causing an even greater demonstration of praise and
glory. This Kingdom exchange and heavenly design continued filling the
atmosphere with the glory and illumination of God until the entire
temple was saturated with the appearance and revelation of His glory.
That is the fashion of Heaven to
be transferred to earth and our assignment – to create an atmosphere on
the earth that is consistent with His nature and character in which He
can dwell. If we can fulfill this mandate, all the other purposes and
desires for which we long will naturally be established and achieved by
His Presence and anointing resting in us.
Certainly, Isaiah must have been
compelled to likewise participate in this exchange of glory, yet he
recognized the unworthiness and impurity of his own lips to give glory
to God in such a holy surrounding. Fortunately, the provision of Heaven
purified him and removed his uncleanness allowing him to give glory to
God.
Who Will Go For Us
This commissioning of Isaiah was not as a prophet. The Scriptures
plainly report that he was already functioning in the office of a
prophet long before the experience of Isaiah 6. Perhaps, Isaiah was
being asked "Who will go for Us?" to begin filling the earth with the
glory of the Lord of hosts as witnessed in Heaven before God's throne.Isaiah observed the atmosphere surrounding Heaven's throne.
Horse Testimony
Here's a testimony from last week. A friend was having problems with her horse that had foundered very badly last year, to the point that some thought it would be better to put the horse down.
Well thanks to God and a lot of persistent people the horse survived and was doing quiet well although it wasn't on grass.
I knew that God could heal the cause of the foundering because he did it in an old mare I bought, not knowing that she had foundered. The farrier enlightened me when he trimmed her hooves the first time. I looked up what foundering meant and realized what a chore if would be to try to keep this horse off of rich grass in the Spring. So I asked the Lord to reverse the diagnosis and heal the cause of the foundering.
Well, every Spring thereafter I would remind this mare that she didn't have founder and that she was going to be just fine on grass. Now I wasn't stupid. I normally put them out for a couple of hours the first day or two then increase it to about 10 hours for a few days, then I let them out full time.
God answered and she was always fine with no swelling or discomfort.
Back to my girlfriend's horse. She had been through this harrowing experience with her horse and didn't have the faith to believe that God could reverse the diagnosis. I understood completely, so I volunteered to go pray for her horse in person.
I showed up on the day she asked me to come and no one was around. The dogs were barking wildly, but nobody was up. The Lord told me to go ahead and pray for the horse. So I walked to the back paddock and all the horses tried to greet me, except the one I wanted.
I shooed the others away and when I started to pray he walked away from me, time and time again. I asked the Lord to break off any curses that had been spoken over him and immediately he settled down and let me scratch him. What a character he was! I asked the Lord what was up and he said that the horse wasn't used to seeing the Glory on people. Hmmm..... that's something to think about.
Nothing significant happened that I can recall and I didn't get stopped by any suspicious people. I went home and carried on with my daily routine.
I sent my girlfriend a text to let her know that I had been over in the morning and that she could start him on grass anytime.
I got a call the next morning and she said, "How could you have known that he was going to get out last night and eat grass ALL NIGHT LONG?"
I replied, "I didn't. I just did what God told me to do."
"Well, he got out last night and was happily munching grass all night and he's fine. No swelling and he's not lame."
Was she every happy.... That was quite the testimony for those who know this horse and his history.
Praise the Lord! The only diagnosis that is permanent is the one you won't ask King Jesus about.
I bless you today! May you be challenged to let Jesus be Lord over all. What he says goes.... that's the way to live. Amen."

Make A Way
It's time to make a way for the love of God. It's time to lay aside the busyness of life and all the good things and pursue the best thing, which is God. I'm preaching to myself now. LOL. I've got sugar cookies that need decorating and I'm supposed to go shopping in an hour.
Sound familiar? So, I am not going to make shortbread right now. It will have to wait. And I've got a teaching tape playing as I type this. I guess you can tell that I like to multi-task.
Have a great day with Him. Lord, help us to stay in touch with you during our day. Use us for Your Kingdom and I thank You in advance for divine orchestration of all our activities and meetings.
Bless YOU!

No Time To Argue
I quoted Joshua Mills on my Face Book page and I looked today and a Christian decided to argue with me.
Sigh... I don't have time to argue! I'm too busy listening to teaching on my ipod or doing the stuff, whether it be handing out a tract, putting tracts on car windshields, praying for sick people at work and at the grocery store, or speaking an encouraging word to someone on the street.
I wish people would get off their band wagons about correctness and just do the kingdom stuff. There's precious little time! I do not want to get involved in a argument about semantics because there are people dying out there without Jesus and I know that it takes about eight witnesses for someone to get saved.
The quote was, "God only has as much control as you will give Him." --Joshua Mills and Joshua was talking about letting God be Lord (boss) in our lives.
This guy responded, "God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit ACCORDING TO HIS OWN WILL." This is also true but only after we are obedient. It goes back to my point. God only has as much control as you will give Him.
It's all about surrendering our will, ie. "Your will be done, Your kingdom come, not mine.
So that's my rant today.
On a good note, I was walking across the Metro parking lot today to get a few groceries and I had some tracts in my hand that I was distributing. A fellow had some pizzas and stuff on the trunk of a car while he was talking to another man. I put a million dollar bill tract on his pizzas as I walked by and said, "Here's a good laugh." He picked it up and started reading it. Praise the Lord!
And you know, God will use it to minister to him. He might have a Mom, girlfriend or co-worker that has been praying for him to get saved.
So if you see me singing away as I am in the store, you'll know why. I helped my King with some of the things that matter to Him and there's no joy like His.
Let me pray for you now. I Bless you today. Lord you know what's going on in my friend's heart better than I do. Help them to fulfill the call You have on their lives. Give them that revelation that will put them in Your perfect will. Amen.
