Winter Colds & Sickness

We don't have to be sick every winter.  Really,  we don't.   Sometimes we curse ourselves when we speak words like, "I always get sick in the winter." or "I get every cold that comes around."

Sometimes it is words that family or friends have spoken over us that have opened the door for these spirits of sickness to attack us every winter.  This often happens when we are children and don't know not to receive it and the words become a perpetual curse.

So to start, I would break the curse in Jesus' name then start renewing your mind. God has given us authority to bind and loose things. We need to take this privilege seriously.  Whatever we bind on Earth is bound in Heaven and whatever we loose on Earth is loosed in Heaven. (ref. Matt. 16:19)

Thank You Lord that I prosper and I'm in health as my soul prospers. You want me whole and healthy in all seasons. (ref. 3John 2)
Thank You Lord that I am strong in you and my immune system fights off every virus. (ref. Eph. 6:10)
Thank You Lord that I am protected from secondary infections in Jesus name.
Thank you Lord for protecting me from the plague (pneumonia) that tries to attack me. (Psalm 91)

Here's a blog post that's full of good confessions to use to renew your mind.
http://www.greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2011/10/confessions-for-hospital-patient.html

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. (ref. Rom. 10:17)  Fear comes by hearing and hearing the word of the devil.  You choose what you listen to and receive in your heart.

Did you know that you believe what you say more than you believe what anybody else says?   Yes it's true.  Therefore you and I need to  line up our words with Heaven and give the angels something to work with.  They hearken to the voice of his word through us.  (ref. Psalm 103:20)

Have fun!
I bless you in Jesus' name!
Big hugs,

The Power of Communion

I want to share a new insight that the Lord has given me concerning communion.  Let's read the back ground text first.

1Cor. 11:23-26     "For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."  (vs23-24)

In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. (vs. 25-26)

I used to take communion at home when the Lord led me to.   It was a way of cleansing myself from sin and reaffirming that I was His.  The Lord kept highlighting to me that I was doing this 'in remembrance of him' and I started to wonder what that meant besides the obvious.  I wasn't getting it!

Then I read the next part we are to "proclaim the Lord's death till he comes." (vs, 26)  What was the big deal about this statement?

As I meditated on it and asked the Lord why he was highlighting this to me it came to me that I really don't remember my covenant as well as I should.  He took all my sickness and gave me his divine health. (ref. 1Pet. 2:24) He took all my poverty and gave me all his abundance. (3John 2, Phl. 4:19)  He took all my guilt and gave me his peace of mind (ref. Rom. 8:11)  He took all my anxiety and gave me his plans and strategies (James 1:5, Ps. 112:4)  He took my orphan spirit and placed me in his family (ref. Rom 8:15, Heb. 13:5, Gal. 3:26)

Part of remembering our covenant is to enforce what it means.  If I know that healing was purchased for me on the cross of Calvary then I have no business allowing a cold or sickness to attack me.  I need to aggressively declare that sickness can't dwell in my body.  Some people calling this action "resisting the enemy."  (ref. James 4:9, 1Pet. 5:9)

If I know that God took all my poverty on the cross so that I could have abundance then I need to resist poverty, lack and famine with the word of God.  He wishes above all things that I might prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. (3John 2) This includes finances.

If Jesus took all the judgement that we deserved so that we could have his peace then we need to enforce the victory that he won for us with promises from the word of God.  He is our peace! (Eph. 2:14) There is no condemnation anymore... correction yes, because he wants us to grow more and more like him, but never any condemnation. (Rom 8:29, 2 Tim 3:16-17)

We are his ambassadors now. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (ref. 2 Cor. 5:20, 1 Pet. 2:9)

Communion has taken on a whole new meaning for me.  Now I know that the Lord wants me to reaffirm who I am in him and all that he purchased for me... aggressively.

May I encourage you to start taking communion at home and to really think about all that Jesus did for you?  He wants this for us.  The Bible says that all creation is awaiting the revealing of the sons of God that it might be delivered from it's bondage (ref. Rom 8:19-21)  Time is getting short.  It's up to us now. We are the generation that will stand for all he wants to do in the earth.

I bless you in Jesus' name.  May you know his love more deeply, may you walk with him more closely and may you hear his "well done" every day, In Jesus' name I ask. Amen!

I bless you abundantly; physically, mentally, financially, spiritually and relationally.
Big hugs,

Work Ministry

(pic from www.avadirect.com)
Lots of times I don't know what to do to help bring in His glory at work.  I'm working away, singing to the Lord or listening to my ipod and I'll get a revelation so I scribble it down to meditate on it later.

If I don't get any words of knowledge before lunch, I'll ask the Lord if I should go to the store to give out tracts or talk to someone in the lunch room.  There's always something we can do.   Then in the afternoon, I'll pray for the people that got tracts or that I talked to.

There's this prevailing attitude that work is work and ministry is ministry,  however, I have noticed that the people around me are very quick to express their preference for music and say "Jesus" in a derogatory way. So, when I hear someone gasp because of pain I can't help but pray and rebuke the condition.  Love compels me to do something.

You know, we must let love lead us and not be afraid of what people will say or do.  Fear can paralyze us to the point where we are not effective at all.

The bottom line is that we must die daily.  That is what it means to be a living sacrifice. We are His hands and feet and His blessing wherever we are. (Rom 12:1-2,  Eph 2:10, Gal 3:13-14)

I can vouch for the fact that the Lord specializes in delivering power.  You see, I once worked at a place where they loved it when I got words of knowledge about bad product on skids.  It saved the company thousands of dollars in rework costs. I had the freedom to follow the Lord's leading and I can't tell you how many times I would show up at a production line just as something wrong was happening or had just happened.

The only thing is, they didn't want people getting saved. I was even told to leave my God at home by one supervisor. This guy had no idea what he was asking me to do.

Anyhow, the Lord fixed it all up, because this guy's mother got very sick with pancreatitis and  I waited till the Lord said to go talk to him.  Many weeks later, he was despairing because the doctors were going to put her into palliative care.  I happened to ask him about his mother and he told me his tale of woe.

I asked him, "Do you mind if I pray for her now?" (They had no hope at all at this point.)

"No, not at all." was his response.

Can you guess what happened? She was home, healed within a week or two. She got her miracle and that supervisor now knows who the King of Kings is.  It's Jesus!

God has always raised up supporters for me whenever persecution has come and if you ask Him, He'll do the same for you. So go be a witness for him.  Don't let His precious blood be wasted another day. He died so that you could be endued with His miracle working power and be a light wherever you go. Go make Your Heavenly Daddy proud.

Let me bless you now. "Lord, show us how we can make a difference every day.  We decree, that Your love is shed abroad in our hearts today and that we walk worthy of the calling to which You have called us.  Thank You Lord that we walk in the anointing we have attained and we don't slip back.  We expect divine appointments today and we are looking for Heavenly treasure everywhere we go.  We walk in love, faith and boldness.  Thank You that we always have supporters and Your wisdom to know how to answer people. Amen!" (Rom. 5:5, Eph. 4:1, Phil. 3:16, Eph 2:10, 2Cor. 5:18-20, Prov 28:1, 1Pet. 3:15, Acts, 4:21-33, Luke 21:11-19)

Puppy Turn Around

The puppies are cute at 4 weeks old. They were not very good at licking up the pablum at first. They started licking it off my fingers initially and then I would draw them to the plate edge. Once they realized the food was there they got excited and tried to climb into the plate. Well that was hilarious as all legs skidded out on them.

It took them a while to realize that walking across the plate was not a good idea. I had to keep pulling them back.
The mother is from a little town way past Kitchener and the Daddy is from Missouri.   I was really happy with their markings and their health, so you can imagine my shock when the vet told me that one of them had a heart murmur.  I had done everything possible to make sure the parents were not related.

"What is that?," I asked in my ignorance.

She replied, "It's when the heart valves don't work properly."

"Is it serious?," I probed, looking for more information.

"No, 95% of the time they go away on their own by the time the dog is full grown," she explained.

Hmm.  I couldn't get her to try the stethoscope again and she wrote the damning information on the vet report. This was horrible news. Sick puppies don't sell and I was counting on the money to pay off the summer bills because I didn't have a job. Never mind that fact that I was going back to work and didn't have time to look after an additional puppy.

By the time I got into the car to head home I was upset to say the least.  I told the Lord, "This is not blessed. You told me I was blessed, so show me what to say or do to change this into a blessing."

Immediately the words of the vet came back to me.... it goes away on it's own 95% of the time.   So what I needed was for God to speed up the healing process.  She was an otherwise healthy pup and played as hard or harder than the other pups, so I had peace to pray that.

As soon as I got home I got  my son and daughter to agree with me that Ruby was supernaturally healed and that she would never have a heart problem again and neither would her future puppies.
Nothing happened that we could see, no physical witness, tears, heat, tingles.  Therefore we stood by faith. I wouldn't let anyone confess anything but health and blessing over Ruby.

It was the longest 4 days ever.  I had a hard time sleeping at night because so much was hinged on this puppy selling.  I disliked not telling the lady about the situation, but the Lord kept telling me to wait whenever I asked him if I could let her know.  Ruby was scheduled to fly out on Tuesday so we went to the vet on Monday.

The senior vet examined her and when she had the stethoscope on her, she kept moving it.  Laughter and tears hit me as I realized that she couldn't find the murmur.  I had brought two business cards from church and was sharing about all the miracles that had happened recently in the meetings.

She didn't want to acknowledge the miracle and said, "Well, hang on a minute." Bringing out a pediatric stethoscope, she again listened to Ruby's heart from many different angles.

Well it's not there," she stated.  "It could be that it was intermittent," she offered by way of explanation.

We know better.   Ruby got her miracle and I got my testimony and the opportunity to witness to the receptionist and the vet. To God be all the glory!

Incidentally, this is what the vet put on the travel document:
"Innocent Heart Murmur noted on first exam Aug 19/10.
Unable to detect today - maybe intermittent but unlikely pathological."

I emailed Ruby's new owner with the news and a pdf of the Certificate of Health and gave her the option of taking her or I would refund her money.  She decided to take her and Ruby flew out via West Jet on Tuesday.

I rejoice in how it worked out.  God is on our side and there is a devil/bully on the loose trying to kill, steal and destroy any area of our lives he can, especially our finances.  That is his last stronghold because he knows that money makes the world go around.

So the challenge is to renew our minds and then ask the Lord what we can say or do that will change things.  He says that all things will work together for our good, to those that love Him and that we should have no fear of bad news, so now we have to dig in to the word and put it to work for us. (Rom. 8:28, Ps. 112:7-10)

Rejoice!  Again I say rejoice!  The Lord takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.(Psalm 35:27) That's good news in these economic times.

I decree you are blessed with God's wisdom  today. May you have His joy in your journey and may you know His love more and more, in Jesus' name I ask. Amen.
