Hi there friends! I am back! Seriously... it's been a wonderful year and I am amazed at God's goodness!
My heart has been stirred recently but a person's situation.... I won't go into details just that the person was left with some health issues and told to live with them. How sad is that!
But God! Of course this person is angry and bitter and has full rights to be angry, frustrated and bitter... but I know a better way!
Like Pastor Mark Redner used to tell me... They can't pay you back or make it up to you... Better to let them go and claim double from the Father. Double the healing you need, double the recompense you need... better dreams than the dream life you had before. Only God can make up for man's short falls.
Like someone used to tell me a doctor is only an engineer with two more years of science. If an engineer can make a mistake you better believe a doctor can make a mistake!
Does that make sense? I was praying for this person and my heart broke. Such pain, horrible pain and broken dreams and it was such a mess I didn't know what to pray for first! (That rarely happens to me). I came away with my heart and soul crying out for mercy because honestly I didn't think I would be able to forgive the doctors if those things had happened to me!
Then this morning I was praying again for this person I was wondering what to pray for next and I heard, "Through our God we shall do valiantly! For it is He that treads down our enemies!" (Ps. 108:13)
Holy Spirit said I had a key! With the Father's love in my heart, putting myself in the person's shoes and crying out for mercy I had a key that would move Heaven and Earth. Hallelujah!
I am waiting for the results..... I know what God showed me.... if I won't quit praying and making demands and decreeing promises Holy Spirit brings to my remembrance! He won't quit because "He is forever faithful!" (Psalm 100:5)
So that's my exhortation today... Don't give up on people.... Doctor's do what they can and often fail us... however we have another recourse,,, God! I dare you to pick up where you have given up on someone or some situation. Ask God for a strategy or encouragement to keep pressing on and claim the healing promise (Isa. 53:5, 1Pet. 2:24) or dream (Ps. 37:4) He's shown you!
Big hugs!

Breaking Strongholds in Marriages
This is from a precious friend who asked me to post it so that you would be encouraged. He is so excited about the breakthroughs he is seeing in his marriage and his friend's marriages. Be encouraged! God is on your side!
"Today I spent the whole morning breaking down strong holds in a married couple's house. When we thought that we where through Holy Spirit stayed and brought forth more and more revelation. After calling out peoples names living and dead we made a great step forward in discernment by breaking off curses one at a time.
Again, just as I said, we thought we were through, but HOLY SPIRIT wasn't. We felt to call out each of the married couples to forgive each other. After they both forgave each other we could feel something lifting off.
I did this months ago with my wife and I also could feel something breaking off of me. Now here is the discernment that I was given at that time; when we get married we stand before the LORD and give a pledge to each other. At this time our love is so great between us.
As life goes on we start to drift. We don't keep our love guard up and become less loving and all that goes with it. Oh how the devil is so glad. We don't even know what is going on behind the scenes. After some time in our marriages we start thinking about our partner in negative ways. Now look closely, we are just thinking. So where do you think these negative thoughts come from?
It build and builds until there is great disagreement, bitterness and no forgiveness. Our marriage is now in great danger. Oh how the devil is so slippery. We think that we can do it on our own and that is such a lie!
So what do they do now? They split up and blame it always on the other partner because they cannot see through their own bitterness.
This would not have happened, if right from the start we received the proper education. It is about 'being tried' people, just like Adam and Eve. We are all in this trial forever and without proper education we will stay in this prison forever.
We have to fight back and take back what satan stole from us and the LORD says it is love. You see satan can't love and he doesn't want you to either. On the other hand, OUR FATHER is full of love, he heals with love and believe me his love is a total healing dictionary. A first aid kit that never runs out. The only time it runs out is when we run out of him.
Lets go back to our love problem. We have to forgive each other and go back to the alter where our vows were and take a stand against satan. My advice is to kiss your spouse regularly. Tell them you love them. Hold their hand and watch the world look at you. Speak well of them all the time. Focus on their good points, not the things that irritate you.
The people around will all wonder and wish they had this. Choose to Stand on top of the world with your confession and faith in Jesus and Holy Spirit's comfort and counsel... instead of sinking into it to join the fallen." (L.Jones)
Isn't that exciting? I love to hear about people getting breakthroughs. I don't want the devil to win in anybodies life!
Repeat this after me: I am a light set on a hill! I am salt that is meant to preserve and flavor everything! I am a blessing everywhere I go! I am 'love' walking and talking because his love is shed abroad in my heart as I ask him for it! I am his beloved and I can love those God puts in my path; especially my family, church family and coworkers!
Bless you!

How to Stay Strong.
First thing in the morning... last thing at night. |
Some things I have learned along the way are to keep going to my daily devotionals. I have two from KCM, Faith to Faith and Pursuit of his Presence. There have been others along the way but those two have gone the distance.
I also have had books along the way to help me speak the right things over my life and to help me turn my belief system around. My book shelf is full of encouraging, faith-filled books.
I keep a daily journal where I write down the things God tells me during the day and the songs I have been singing. At the back I write down all the scripture decrees he has showed me for quick reference so I can go over them every day and make them part of my life. Many of the 'confessions' in this blog are from the back of my journals!
I talk to the Lord like he's right beside me and I listen for his answers. I try to make time to check in with him many times a day. He doesn't mind me being a question box as long as I listen for his response. The Psalmist sang, "Evening and morning and at noon will I utter my complaint and moan and sigh, and He will hear my voice." (Ps. 55:17) I am not saying you always have to complain but it shows how interested God is in hearing us!
I try to live by the verse which says, "Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts." (Col. 3:16 NLT) I try to sing in tongues or English most of the day.
Daily bible reading is a big help. If the Bible is 'dry' I will look up the reference scriptures that the daily devotionals suggest, or look up the scriptures that I heard from the last meeting. Sometimes I ask Holy Spirit if there's somewhere he wants me to go to answer a question I have had. Many times I just ask Holy Spirit to give me a greater love for his word. He's faithful to answer if we ask.
I keep a very short account with God. I literally will not go to bed if I know that I have offended or hurt someone. I go humble myself and ask forgiveness.... especially to my children and husband. There have been times when they were in the wrong and still Holy Spirit would ask me to go humble myself and just offer forgiveness. Blessed are the peacemakers!
These are just a few of the ways that I have kept the fire burning hot over the last thirty years. If I can do it, you can do it because God is no respecter of persons! (ref. Acts. 10:34)
Have a great day with him! I bless you with the courage to do what Holy Spirit is asking you to do. The joy he gives makes any sacrifice worth while. There is nothing like it this side of Heaven!
Big hugs,

Life is not Fair!
Life is not fair! There's just no way around it. I can't find a verse to say that I'm justified in demanding justice from people.
We want to retaliate, to make them pay and that can be a problem if we focus on the wrong issue. We don't fight flesh and blood. We fight spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. (Eph. 6:10-18)
Yup..... that person that hurt you was a pawn in the enemy's hand.
We don't want to play into the enemy's hand by retaliating and hurting them back. We want to give it over to a higher court and let the true judge look after our situation. (ref. James 4:11-12) This is what forgiveness is. He has promised to repay.
The best thing we can do is bless them with a revelation of Jesus' love and that they would fulfill their God given destiny. Not fair! I know... but no matter what they did, they don't deserve hell. Hell was not designed for people. It's a jail for all the wicked spirits that rebelled against God.
Forgiving people works and the price for unforgiveness is too high. (ref. Matt. 18: 21-35) We forgive and bless so that we are like Jesus, who didn't trade insult for insult. (ref. Luke 6:22-23) We do it "without complaining or grumbling so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe." (Phil 2:14-15) That's a good reward for not complaining and grumbling.
Let's keep working on it. It gets easier and easier as we practice. God's glory will be released on us in greater measure because we chose to react the way Jesus did. He lived a life of love and we can too. (ref. Eph. 5:2) We choose to put away all evil speaking and malice and we choose to be kind to others, tender hearted, forgiving everyone even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us. (ref. Eph. 4:31-32)
I bless you today. May you have his joy in your journey with him and may you hear his well done today. Amen!

Break my Heart
Break my heart... Huh? Those are dangerous words. Are you wondering why I'm writing this?
I am writing this because I saw a lady today crossing a parking lot with a decided limp and I didn't do anything about it!
What's wrong with me? I was sitting in my car, waiting for my daughter to finish work and I had nothing to do. She walked haltingly into the McDonalds and I wondered what had happened to her but didn't think to go pray for her. A few minutes later she came out with her McDonalds with her little bag of fast food and she stopped by to comment about my dog Scoobie. Just a few seconds... but if I had been with it, I would have capitalized on the opportunity to ask her about her back.
What bugs me the most is that I used to do this kind of thing all the time and I saw many people touched by God.
I am thinking that I am too complacent. It's almost like a sleepiness is trying to come over me so that I slip into apathy. Been there, done that... almost a boredom. I cannot allow this to happen! It doesn't get any better than seeing Heaven manifest on the earth!
Jesus paid such a huge price for me to have the power of God flowing through my hands and words.
"Lord, please break my heart with the things that break Yours. Help me to keep my heart tender to hear Your gentle voice. I humble myself under Your mighty hand. Forgive me of all the opportunities I have wasted and give me another chance. Help me not to spend my days frivolously. Guide me to the right teaching and show me how to keep Your fire burning all the time. I decree that I am on fire for You forever and that I am bold because I am righteous and that I capitalize on opportunities to share and pray for people. Let Your kingdom come in my life and Your will be done in my life today. Amen!"
May we always be passionate for our Lord and Savior! Amen!
Bless you!

Negative to Positive
I was ready to smack her I thought. I haven't had the urge to smack someone in public ever. Yes, this lady really got under my skin, but my reaction was "out of character." I recognized that I was offended, so I quickly excused myself and started praying.
You have got to shake your head at some people. "Lord I forgive her. Help her to be more considerate of people's feelings. Lord help me to be more considerate of people's feelings and not "come across" as insensitive. Amen." I recognize that "spirit of offense" that operates around her now.
What got me upset was the "works mentality" she confessed. God will look after my husband because God loves him, not because my husband is doing good works, so he deserves looking after. All any of us deserve is Hell, but because the Father loved us so much, He sent His Son to take our sin upon himself and redeem us. (see Titus 2:12) "We were bought with a price." ( 1Cor 6:20) We are not our own.
We are not saved by grace and kept by law or works. No, No, No. The whole letter to the Galatians was written to address this problem. The whole deal, from start to finish is grace. "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness [come] by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. " (Gal 2:21)
My husband is looking to Jesus, not to himself for help and direction. All, I repeat "all our righteousness (self effort) is as filthy rags", to God.(Isa 64:6) We do not do to get, we do because we have been touched by so much love, in Jesus, that we want to share it. Our motivation has been changed by the lover of our souls -- Jesus. Does that mean we just sit around and wait for pie in the sky? No, it means we ask Him every day, "What would you have me do and say today Lord?" That is submitting your will and desires to the Lord.
Even the world has the belief system, "do good, get good" and "do bad, get bad." There is no miracle in believing that. But when we get good for all our bad --that's a miracle. That is grace. We exchange all our efforts for Jesus' finished work on the cross and God declares us, "NOT GUILTY!" That is a miracle.
If for some reason we don't get looked after I would not blame God. He is love and He can't change. Sometimes when the pressure is on, people will jump and make hasty decisions. I know I have missed God's voice plenty of times and got the resulting mess. That is not God's fault. He has given us all free will. He can turn all our bad mistakes to good if we will allow Him to, it just might take a bit of time. Like someone once told me, we all have a destiny and God can get us back on track whenever we turn to Him, so that we get to the important junctions in our lives at the right time. It's our choice whether we arrive at these junctions smelling like roses or barnyard stuff.
Blessing and provision have got a lot to do with what we believe. If we believe we are blessed and highly favored, we will be. If we believe that God's deserted us and bad things are coming, then bad things will come. (See Prov 23:7) Look at Joseph. It didn't matter where he ended up he brought God's blessing with him because he believed he was Abraham's seed and thus blessed. A real good question to ask is, "What do I believe?" We can determine what we believe by what we say, especially when we are under pressure. Truly, by our words we are justified and by our words we are condemned. (Matt 12:37)
Someone told me once that demons are attracted to voiced negative emotions the way sharks are attracted to blood in the water. The louder the negative emotions we give voice to, the more demons we attract spiritually. Guess what? I have been a lot more careful about what I give vent to lately. LOL
Finally, in these troubled times, God gave me some verses to meditate on and claim that I will share with you, to encourage you. The first one is, "I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." (Psalm 37:25)
The second is Psalm 112...
"1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed [is] the man [that] feareth the LORD, [that] delighteth greatly in his commandments. 2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. 3Wealth and riches [shall be] in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. 4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: [he is] gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous 5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. 6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. 7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. 8His heart [is] established, he shall not be afraid, until he see [his desire] upon his enemies. 9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. 10The wicked shall see [it], and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish."
Thanks for reading. I feel much better now.
Big hugs and blessings,
Brenda Gale
