Slandered!

I'm sure as I write this, that it's happened to many of you.  You go to work one day and people are looking at you funny and asking strange questions.  You might not think anything of it till you get called into a meeting with managers, where they start grilling you on events gone by.

As you try to recollect the details of the events that transpired you have the sinking feeling in your gut that you have been slandered.  Your motives have been called into question.  It's a horrible feeling.  It can wreck your best day and cause many sleepless nights.

I am here to tell you that God is faithful.  If you will stick with God and determine not to become bitter or vengeful God will vindicate you.  He got me out of many nasty situations that the HR manager called 'a poisoned work environment'.  And praise the Lord, I never lost my job!

I was wondering how slander gets started and it's so sneaky.  It can start off with being disappointed and then you want to 'air' your feelings.  It can start with you wanting to manipulate a person, because of preconceived ideas of what you need them to do, so you feel comfortable or satisfied.  Most of the roots are fear based.  You start asking why and eventually you'll get to a fear based reason.

I hate fear because it's not from God.  So when I recognize it in my life I go after it to root it out.  Here are some scriptures I have been using to renew my mind  so I don't become the enemy's tool to destroy someone else.

Thank You Lord that I am wise because I don't utter slander.  (ref. Prov. 10:19)
Those who hide hatred with lying lips are fools, (Prov. 10:18).  Therefore I choose to forgive and You look after me.

Thank You Lord that it's to a person's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel. Prov. 20:3

Thank You Lord that the reverential fear of YOU if the beginning of wisdom!  I draw near and ask for more please.  (Ps. 111:10, Prov. 9:10)

The words of a gossip are like choice morsels, they go down to a man's inmost parts. (Prov. 26:22)
A gossip separates close friends. (Prov. 16:28)

Thank You Lord that though bosses sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees. (Ps 119:23)

Do not slander a servant to his master, or he will curse you, and you will pay for it. (Prov. 30:10 italics mine)

That's warning enough eh?  You'll pay for slandering others!  Lord have mercy on us and give us a great guard over our mouths and set watch over our lips so that we don't sin against You or others that You died for.  (Ps. 141:3) Amen.

Bless you today!

I am Willing to be Willing

Hi there.  I was busy this morning uploading video clips onto "Kinburnrevival7" and doing laundry when I got the song, "Be still and know..."

Okay,  time to sit down for a bit before I run to the store and get a birthday cake, card and supper fixings.  I sat down and asked the Lord where to open my Bible and I got Haggai 2.    The Verse, "The silver is mine and the gold is mine." stood out to me and I thought about it.

I'm so willing to work to bring dreams to pass.  I love sowing seed into other people's lives.  But am I willing to wait on Him if that's what He asks?  That's a tougher request.  We can get so busy doing so many good things, yet we have nothing if we don't spend time with him first.  Like the Bible says, "Apart from me you can do nothing."(John. 15:5)

I am feeling the nudge to get a good camera so I can capture Healing videotape clips on the streets etc. and post them onto youtube.   I also want to get a back up computer so that it won't be so crazy next summer at Logos Land.  But you know what?  God knows all about it.  He knows about the bills better than we do.

So I started waiting on Him and the tears started falling.  All I could say was that, "I am willing to be willing!"  He hears and he answers!  My heart might not know why I am making excuses but I am willing to change.

Five minutes later, my daughter called and offered to get the cake and stuff for me because she's going into town anyhow.  Isn't that amazing?  Now I have a whole 2 hours just to sit at his feet and make spaghetti sauce.  I am laughing as I write this.  Who do I think I'm fooling?   Holy Spirit is so good to us.  He'll help me spend the next couple of hours in the word, waiting on Him and yes the spaghetti sauce will get made too.  Amazing God!

Have a great day as you determine to be willing to sit at his feet and listen.

Every Day Is Important!

Every day is important when you are on the winning side.   It doesn't matter if you are at work or at home cleaning, every day counts for something in God's eyes.

Do not let the enemy lull you into complacency by telling you, it doesn't matter what you do today,  Or perhaps you have been putting off something God has asked you to do. Let me advise you that  these are tricks.  You can't go to step B without doing step A.

Every time you read your bible or talk to others about God there is a Heavenly record made.  That shows you that Heaven thinks it's important what you do every day.

Also,  every time you praise the Lord and give him the adoration he's due, he's promised to inhabit your praises. That means that the Creator of all the universe is visiting you.  What would you ask Him if you knew you could?  What would you say?  And we get lulled into watching reruns on tv instead of seeking God. Yeesh!  Have we been deceived or what?

The bible says that we are changed from glory to glory in HIS presence. (2Cor. 3:18) I guess we don't believe this word here in North America because way too many people are complacent in the musical part of our church services. Perhaps there has been an over emphasis on the word to the exclusion of the praise and worship.

In some church services the atmosphere is so heavy that you need a half an hour of good exhortative singing to get the people involved.  Then you can think about singing some worship songs.  All of this praise and worship has to be led by Holy Spirit of course and not 'man' orchestrated, which is probably why some churches hardly ever experience the glory of God.  Sad isn't it?  I used to belong to a church like that and I would often wonder why, when things were just starting to warm up,  the leader would shut it down.  It is very tragic.  Lord help these precious people to burn again with passion for you.

I don't know about you but I want to be changed. My face isn't shining like Moses' face did.  I don't see people getting healed by my shadow, so I know that there is more to be had.  God is no respecter of persons so if these fellows (Moses and Peter) can be changed from cowards to champions, then so can I.

I am going after God today, not tomorrow,  because I don't know if I even have tomorrow. (ref. James 4: 13-15)

If God thinks it's important to seek him... then it is, plain and simple.  If God could anoint Brother Lawrence as he did the dishes in the monastery... then he can anoint me as I putter around my house.  I am choosing to keep my ears open and to sing the words or songs He gives me.

I desperately need him today. He's promised to work on my behalf while I wait on him.  That's the best deal in the whole world! (Is 64:4)

May the Good Lord bless you today as you pursue Him for more glory and answers in your life.
Big hugs,

Work Ministry

(pic from www.avadirect.com)
Lots of times I don't know what to do to help bring in His glory at work.  I'm working away, singing to the Lord or listening to my ipod and I'll get a revelation so I scribble it down to meditate on it later.

If I don't get any words of knowledge before lunch, I'll ask the Lord if I should go to the store to give out tracts or talk to someone in the lunch room.  There's always something we can do.   Then in the afternoon, I'll pray for the people that got tracts or that I talked to.

There's this prevailing attitude that work is work and ministry is ministry,  however, I have noticed that the people around me are very quick to express their preference for music and say "Jesus" in a derogatory way. So, when I hear someone gasp because of pain I can't help but pray and rebuke the condition.  Love compels me to do something.

You know, we must let love lead us and not be afraid of what people will say or do.  Fear can paralyze us to the point where we are not effective at all.

The bottom line is that we must die daily.  That is what it means to be a living sacrifice. We are His hands and feet and His blessing wherever we are. (Rom 12:1-2,  Eph 2:10, Gal 3:13-14)

I can vouch for the fact that the Lord specializes in delivering power.  You see, I once worked at a place where they loved it when I got words of knowledge about bad product on skids.  It saved the company thousands of dollars in rework costs. I had the freedom to follow the Lord's leading and I can't tell you how many times I would show up at a production line just as something wrong was happening or had just happened.

The only thing is, they didn't want people getting saved. I was even told to leave my God at home by one supervisor. This guy had no idea what he was asking me to do.

Anyhow, the Lord fixed it all up, because this guy's mother got very sick with pancreatitis and  I waited till the Lord said to go talk to him.  Many weeks later, he was despairing because the doctors were going to put her into palliative care.  I happened to ask him about his mother and he told me his tale of woe.

I asked him, "Do you mind if I pray for her now?" (They had no hope at all at this point.)

"No, not at all." was his response.

Can you guess what happened? She was home, healed within a week or two. She got her miracle and that supervisor now knows who the King of Kings is.  It's Jesus!

God has always raised up supporters for me whenever persecution has come and if you ask Him, He'll do the same for you. So go be a witness for him.  Don't let His precious blood be wasted another day. He died so that you could be endued with His miracle working power and be a light wherever you go. Go make Your Heavenly Daddy proud.

Let me bless you now. "Lord, show us how we can make a difference every day.  We decree, that Your love is shed abroad in our hearts today and that we walk worthy of the calling to which You have called us.  Thank You Lord that we walk in the anointing we have attained and we don't slip back.  We expect divine appointments today and we are looking for Heavenly treasure everywhere we go.  We walk in love, faith and boldness.  Thank You that we always have supporters and Your wisdom to know how to answer people. Amen!" (Rom. 5:5, Eph. 4:1, Phil. 3:16, Eph 2:10, 2Cor. 5:18-20, Prov 28:1, 1Pet. 3:15, Acts, 4:21-33, Luke 21:11-19)

Carve Out Your Zone

I know we are supposed to be God's glory carriers but have you ever wondered how that pans out in  real life?

I did.  I remember worshiping and asking the Lord to flow through me one day and then I got told to go to the mall.  I thought, "What's this about?", but I obeyed.

I got to the mall and I had stopped to ask the Lord where to go next, when a lady appeared in front of me, all of a sudden, to ask me something.  When she got close there was, what I would describe as an explosion in the air between us. She immediately burst into tears and kept telling me, "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

I replied, "You're welcome. God bless you."   As she walked away, I asked the Lord, "What was that all about?

He told me that the demon had to leave because I was carrying His presence around me.  Cool eh?  I immediately declared that she would be free forever.

I know this stuff is real.  At work this week I asked the Lord how to help the people because there are so many colds going on around me.  The Lord told me to heal them.  So,  I claimed healing for all the people close to me  and I cast down any negative, idle words that they had spoken.  They don't know better after all.

Guess what?   They were all better by Friday.  I just kept ignoring their negative confessions and when one lady said that she toke some vitamin c and she was not getting sick, I said, "I can agree with that!"

So there you go. I grew in this ability over time and so can you. I started taking authority over stuff affecting my own body first.  (1 Pet. 2:24, Rom. 5:17,  Phil 4:6, 1Cor. 2:16, Psalm 103:3-5) Then I started helping my family. Then once I knew how to stand and resist the devil for my whole family,  I started helping my friends and my work-mates. (James 4:7, Matt. 10:8, 1Pet. 5:5-10)

For example,  one time at work, I started to notice that after breaks, strange, weird things would happen on the production line.  I got tired of all the problems this was causing and started asking God what was going on.  The Lord told me that these people were picking up their evil spirits on break, while outside the plant and bringing them back in.  Something in me rose up and said, "No way! This is God's turf while I am here."  And I realized that I was affecting the spiritual climate of the whole plant.  Amazing eh?  It's true. We are destined to be more than conquerors through Him.  We are spreading the fragrance of Him everywhere we go. Hallelujah! (2Cor. 2:14,16, Rom. 8:37)

In conclusion, I want to encourage you to start where you are at.  Learn to walk tight with Holy Spirit; like He's your best friend, and He'll show you how to take authority over all that would try to come against you and what angels to release to fight for you.  Believe you receive when you ask Him specific questions.  He wants this for you.  As you learn to trust Him and obey Him you will grow in authority.  The best part is you are destined to win.  You get to keep batting till you get a home run! (2Cor. 2:14)

Lord, I ask that you bless the person reading this.  May they grow in revelation regarding Your plans for their lives.  May they hear Your voice more clearly and know Your great love so much more, each and every day.  Go ahead of them Lord and prepare the way for them, (Eph. 2:10).  Help them to expect divine appointments every day. Give them a hunger to wait on You and seek You every day. Thank You for giving them the right words to speak to each person. Thanks. Amen!

Dreams and Hard Work

I have been getting a horse ready for sale the last two weeks. It's a lot of work. She (Tina) is not quite three and would like us to believe that she has forgotten everything she learned last fall with the trainer. It takes a lot of time, dedication and vision to see the potential in a horse when they are acting like broncos or spoiled brats. The miracle is that with enough time, patience, training and hard work we can turn them into show winners.

In the same way there is no short cut to fulfilling a dream. They all take time, dedication, a willingness to learn and lots of work.

I think that is what Jesus meant when He asked us to consider the cost before we committed to Him. "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? (Luke 14:28)

What would happen if I quit on my horse? She would never attain her full potential and there's a very good possibility that her life would be cut short. Horses with bad manners, that you can't ride are not good for much.

To me the cost is worth it. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel because my trainer and I have trained a few horses. I know that if I work hard now, in a while she will be more manageable and it won't be so hard next year to get her ready for riding.

Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? If you work hard can you see a part of your dream coming to pass? I guess the big question is, "What are you willing to go without or do without to pursue your dream?"

I know for me... I have been committing a couple of hours every second day to training plus the additional time of handling, grooming, feeding every day. I do not have time for many things right now, but that is okay, because I have made the choice to do this. When we decide what we will do with our free time it empowers us somehow. It's easier to sacrifice when it's not forced on us by others.

On that note, I am still trying to help a lady with her dream of learning to play the piano. She now knows how to chord a worship song and I am teaching her some music theory along the way.

What I've noticed though, is now that she's realizing how hard it is to play the piano well, she is reconsidering how much she wants the dream. You see, she has three young children and she works and she still wants to read her fiction books every night. As you can imagine... practicing the piano is not happening.

This happens to many people. We start off great but then when we realize that it will take a lot longer than we imagined to achieve our dream, we want to give up. Do not shelve or give up on your dream! Instead, break your dream down into many small steps and figure out what one step you can start on now. Be realistic with your goal setting.

For example, I am going to encourage the piano lady to make some baby sized goals to start with and see how see does with that. It can be a challenge breaking down a dream into manageable, bite-sized pieces, but it can be done. Pursuing a dream, however slowly makes us more alive, more vibrant. Do not let anything or anyone steal your dream because "hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12) Even achieving the smallest part of a dream gives you courage to keep believing God for more and along the way or journey we become a tree of life to help others pursue their dreams. It is amazing how God changes us and uses us along the way!

Lord Jesus, You are so awesome! Bless this reader as they pursue You and Your dream for their lives!
