Crying out, "Jesus!"
You see.... we activate the Courts of Heaven when we call out, "Jesus!" I know but I know this is true because I've seen it and others have too. Our earthly court rooms are copies of what God has created in Heaven and when you call on His name you are there (in the spirit). There is no time delay.
Jesus, our advocate and some other testifiers are on our left. The Father is sitting at his judges seat/throne and satan the accuser appears to the right (or the devils that have been attacking you) (ref. Zech. 3:1-5)
I haven't had to do much at all... The Lord Jesus and the witnesses have presented my case and I've seen the angels lunge to beat up the evil spirits that were harassing me. It's so amazing!!! We are more than conquerors!
All those years I called out and I knew stuff was happening but I wasn't quite sure what. I'm so glad for Ian Clayton, Mike Parsons and other men like them that are teaching us how to live and breath the Kingdom of God.
God wants all of us to experience his Kingdom.... not just a select few. All of us have eyes and ears that were meant to see in the Kingdom. It's as close as your hand.(Mark 1:15, Matt. 10:7) We are seated with him in Heavenly places already. (Eph. 2:6)
"God wishes that we might prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper", therefore believe you receive all his good and perfect gifts, receive your kingdom sight and hearing and walk by faith. (3John 2). Come boldly to the throne of grace and receive your clean new garments like the high priest Joshua did in the old testament.(Heb. 4:16, Zech. 3:1-5) If he can..... then so can you and I.
I have enjoyed the courtrooms so much more, now that I know more about what is happening....
If you want to experience God's Kingdom then please agree with me in prayer:
"Lord we desire to know you more, to see you more, to hear you more and to experience your Kingdom more. Thank you so much for shedding your blood for us and making us righteous before you. We receive eyes to see your kingdom, ears to hear your voice and a passionate desire to know
you more. Thank You for more visions and dreams and for showing us how to go back to the vision and dreams we have had to ask for more details. We give you all the glory for what you are going to do in and through us. Amen!"
Make sure you write about what you see or dream! Your notes become a doorway of entry so you can go back again and again!
Bless you so much!

Horses in Visions and Activation
I just got confirmation of something that's always bugged me. I enjoy riding my horses as time permits and I was wondering why the horse I have in Heaven (that I see in my spirit) doesn't have a bridle or reins on her. I told the Lord that I needed a saddle on her so that I wouldn't fall off and he acquiesced to my request. But no bridle.... That's a scary ride on the earth for sure.
Now I'm hungry for more of God. I want to be like Brother Lawrence that practised the presence of God all the time and people got so blessed when he would do the dishes in the monastery. Some of them even collapsed because of the glory shining out from him!
Back to my story... so I'll be walking around in a heavenly realm asking the Lord, "what do you want me to see?" and my horse come up behind me and nudge me on the shoulder. It's so special when a horse does that. They want to be with you and that's a big, big compliment!
Anyhow, yesterday I was listening to Bruce Allen teaching about Translation by Faith on Youtube and he talked about how the horses in heaven don't have bridles or reins because the bond is love!
That makes perfect sense! When I get on my horse in heaven, I just think something and we're there. You can ride around if you want, but if you want to go somewhere fast you can do it in an instant.
If I've lost some of you remember that Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is at hand. And Paul said that we are seated with Him in Heavenly places. That means that our spirits are already engaging the realm of Heaven and that we can go there by faith whenever we want. We have access through the blood of Jesus into everything Father God has dreamed/planned for us.
As we determine to be a living sacrifice The Father has made provision for us to be cleaned up and presentable to him. Our job is to offer all of our dreams, ambitions, hopes and desires to him and to be willing to become of no reputation (like Jesus).... Then He will make us fit to do the Master's work. That's his part.
I'm excited to be used by Father God more and to help more people. I'm excited to see what he'll show me today. So in a practical way you can start by putting on the praise and worship music and repent of any sin that Holy Spirit shows you. Then when you feel the spirit of worship start to worship and when you feel his presence ask Holy SPirit what he wants to show you. Close your eyes and look and you'll see the blackness turn into light,,, then gradually pictures. You can check with Holy Spirit to confirm what you are seeing. That's a simple way to activate your spiritual vision. The more you practice the easier it gets. Also, there are other ways to engage the Kingdom on Heaven that I'll explain in another article.
If you want this then please speak this prayer out loud:
Lord Jesus, I want to be yours today. Please let me be your living sacrifice today. I give all of myself to you to do with as you choose. Thank you for opening my eyes and my ears to hear your truth. Thank You for giving me a teachable heart today and a hunger for your words today.
I command every deaf and dumb spirit and every spirit of unbelief to come off me in the Name of Jesus and cover myself and my family and my home with the blood of Jesus. Every black hood of spiritual blindness come off us now, in Jesus' name!
Thank you Lord for activating me in the things of your Kingdom. Thank You Lord for teaching me how your kingdom operates. I believe I receive impartation to engage in your Kingdom by faith today. Thank you for dreams and visions of Heaven today and every day. Thank You Lord that YOU want this for me, your child. Amen!
Have a great day with Him!

God knows the End from the Beginning
Is. 46:10. "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand and I will do all that I please."
He knows the end from the beginning. Hallelujah! All my days were written in His book.
God hid our destiny in the core of our being. We are already on the road. We might just need to find the road marks. Visions, dreams and prophetic words will confirm what Holy Spirit shows us in our daily seeking times.

Be God aware, not self aware.
Being God aware helps us to recognize all the miracles that are happening in our lives from day to day. Face up with a miracle. Believe that they happen. A meaningful coincidence is a little miracle.
Being thankful guards us against complaining... which keeps God's blessings flowing. The quickest way to stop God's blessing is to be ungrateful.
So step out and trust God that he's able to steer you. He's already programmed you. He knows all the divine connections you need to make. As you stay in a praising, thankful attitude you can be guarenteed to make all the right connections along the way. No moments wasted. What a concept!
Have a great day with Holy Spirit!

I am Willing to be Willing
Okay, time to sit down for a bit before I run to the store and get a birthday cake, card and supper fixings. I sat down and asked the Lord where to open my Bible and I got Haggai 2. The Verse, "The silver is mine and the gold is mine." stood out to me and I thought about it.
I'm so willing to work to bring dreams to pass. I love sowing seed into other people's lives. But am I willing to wait on Him if that's what He asks? That's a tougher request. We can get so busy doing so many good things, yet we have nothing if we don't spend time with him first. Like the Bible says, "Apart from me you can do nothing."(John. 15:5)
I am feeling the nudge to get a good camera so I can capture Healing videotape clips on the streets etc. and post them onto youtube. I also want to get a back up computer so that it won't be so crazy next summer at Logos Land. But you know what? God knows all about it. He knows about the bills better than we do.
So I started waiting on Him and the tears started falling. All I could say was that, "I am willing to be willing!" He hears and he answers! My heart might not know why I am making excuses but I am willing to change.
Five minutes later, my daughter called and offered to get the cake and stuff for me because she's going into town anyhow. Isn't that amazing? Now I have a whole 2 hours just to sit at his feet and make spaghetti sauce. I am laughing as I write this. Who do I think I'm fooling? Holy Spirit is so good to us. He'll help me spend the next couple of hours in the word, waiting on Him and yes the spaghetti sauce will get made too. Amazing God!
Have a great day as you determine to be willing to sit at his feet and listen.
Big hugs,

Garden Wall Vision
| My Garden (not finished) |
I love it when Holy Spirit asks me that like he did Jeremiah (ref. Jer. 1:11) That is a ticket to exercise my faith and see what's going on in the spirit realm. Jesus made a way for us as born again Christians to enter the heavenlies. In fact the Bible says that we are seated there already (Eph. 2:6). Every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus has been given to us already so since Jesus could see things in the spirit so can we. (ref. Eph. 1:3, Acts. 10:34)
It's as simple as believing God's word and practicing God's presence. We do Psalm 100 where we enter God's gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. We go by the alter of sacrifice and ask forgiveness of our sins, then we move on to the bronze laver where we find the washing of the word. We do this until we feel the praise songs shift to worship songs. Then when we feel the atmosphere around us change we ask Holy Spirit what to do next. Holy Spirit will lead you to what to say, decree or see. He is our guide for all supernatural encounters.
This is why time alone with God is a precious commodity in our busy world. All the revelatory gifts like prophesy, words of knowledge and words of wisdom flow from the intimacy of knowing His voice really well... and that takes time. All relationships take time.
Anyhow, the last week I have seen this scene a number of times so I will share it to bless you. I saw the most beautiful scene. There was a low stone wall about 2.5 feet tall with big stones arched away from me. There were masses of flowers all around, magenta, fuchsia, blue, pink and the occasional lemon yellow flower. The foliage was various greens with no dead leaves in them, just more and more types of leaves. The colors were so brilliant that they felt like they had a metallic sheen to them.
On the top of the wall I could see where the stone was bare in two places, big enough for two people to sit down and take in the beautiful landscape around. The flowers behind would crowd me and bless me with their sweet perfume. The peace in this place was amazing.
The light on the scene was like nothing I've seen before. Everything was bathed with this golden light and it seemed to come from every living thing so I was hard pressed to see the shadows of the wall on the stone walkway for example.
What caught my eye next was a travel mug like the one I use down here for my tea. It was on the wall between the two seats and it had water vapor spiraling up from it so I knew there was something hot in it. Beside it was a huge ruby colored gem, almost as big as the bottom of my travel mug. I thought what are these things doing there?
Then I noticed a pile of gems on the ground between the two seats. They didn't fit in with this scene, yet I knew they were important. There were pearls, and many ruby-colored stones as well as various other stones that I didn't recognize. All of the gems were polished and faceted and looked like they were ready to be put into pieces of jewelry.
I asked the Lord what was up with this picture and He told me that this scene is one I have visited many times... when I stand in His presence. He always has refreshment ready for me and I can see where the rocks have flat tops so we can easily sit down and talk. The gems represent the nuggets of wisdom and glory that He has for me. Many times I forget to take the nugget back down with me to earth and that's why there is a pile of them on the ground.
I asked the Lord what to do the next time I visit because I was sad to see so many gems on the ground. He told me to release the glory I receive while visiting Heaven on the earth and to say out loud, "I believe I receive the gem of wisdom, provision, revelation," -- whatever Holy Spirit says it is.
Then he told me to raise my right hand grab the gem out of heaven and loose it on the earth with a downward motion. I'm not saying that you have to do the same. Let Holy Spirit guide you in all you do.
If this seems silly to you, I completely understand. I have been a Christian for almost 30 years and it took me almost 20 to get past my logical thinking, engineer's mind. Yet the bible says that the things that are seen are temporal, and the things unseen are eternal.(2Cor. 4:18) Chew on that fact for a while. The supernatural or spirit realm is more real than the physical one around us. I had to keep humbling myself under God's mighty hand and agreeing with the word of God, regardless of what my mind or circumstances said.
We practice this principal when we speak the solution and don't talk the problem. We call forth the things that be not, provision, revelation, etc., as though they are. (ref. Rom. 4:17)
Anyhow, I bless you with a hunger for the word of God. May you search out the scriptures to verify what I am saying. Throughout the scriptures you will see that many people had dreams and visions and that God guided his people with them.
I bless you with sanctified dreams and visions today/tonight. I plead the blood of Jesus over you and declare that any hindrance to you having dreams or visions is broken off. I declare that your imagination is cleansed by the blood of the lamb and that it is Holy Spirit's drawing board. I ask that Holy Spirit would guide you in what to watch and listen to, so that your conscience does not get seared again. May you fulfill all of God's plans for your life, in Jesus' name I ask. Amen!
Big hugs,
Brenda Gale

January 1, 2011
Well, here we go again. It's another New Year and everybody is making New Year's resolutions. I would love to learn how to paint, but at my age it would take so long before I became good, that I might just as well wait till I get to Heaven. Then time will not be a problem.
On that note, I put the painting book away and asked the Lord what I should focus on this year. I have musical talents that some painters would probably love to have and I should make good use of them.
What are you going to work on, or attempt to do? I love to to try something new. Is there a dream you have always had but never had the opportunity to pursue?
What I do know is that every journey begins with one step. Here's to taking the first step of many this year towards our dreams!
"Thank You Lord for helping us to pursue the dreams You've given us. Show us what steps we can take that will propel us in the right direction. Connect us with people who will empower us not discourage us. In Jesus' name we ask. Amen!"

Quieting Ourselves
Most of the time He speaks very gently to us, like a friend. If we are not paying attention we won't hear His voice above all the back ground noise in our lives. It takes practice to quiet our minds so we can hear His gentle whispers.
I was trying to quiet my mind one evening while I was worshiping on the piano and this song came. I thought it might encourage you to press in for more so I recorded it today. Enjoy!

We Recover All!
Who hasn't had anything stolen from them? I mean this Christian life is not easy at times. There have been lots of times when I wondered if I was ever going to reap the harvest on the seed I had sown.
So I was really happy when I got some teaching about recovery at a Wagner Leadership Institute course.
I was reading a book titled "The Worship Warrior, Ascending in Worship Descending in War" by Chuck Pierce and with John Dickson and I got a song that goes with the text on Page 222.
May it bless you too!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFwUlLhwO6M
Not bad eh? I was recording the song and I was thinking, "What's the chorus?" and then it came. You feel free to sing it anyway you want. It's a real head ache around here trying to get it quiet enough to record so I left it as it was.
Here's the text I based the song on:
"-Recover lost and broken relationships (see Jer. 29:14).
-Recover your prophetic call (see Ps. 105:19).
-Recover delayed promises (see 2 Cor. 1:20).
-Recover the spirit and gift of faith (see Rom. 1:17, Ps. 23:3).
-Recover the miracle of healing (see Jer. 30:17).
-Recover your spiritual stability ( see Mal. 3:10, Ps. 129:8).
-Recover your financial stability (see 1 Sam. 7:11-14, 2 Chron. 20:6).
-Recover joy (see Neh. 8:10).
-Recover wasted years (see Joel 2:25)
-Recover the lost sheep stolen from your pasture (see 1 Sam. 17:34-37; 30:20).
-Recover the blessings of God (see Deut. 28:1-4).
-Recover all (see 1 Sam. 30)."
"The Worship Warrior, Ascending in Worship Descending in War" by Chuck Pierce and with John Dickson, Published by Regal, page 222-223. ISBN-13: 978-0-8307-3056-8
Let me pray for you now: "Lord I ask that you would give the precious person reading this the faith to believe that You are on their side and that You want them to recover all. Show them how to posture themselves in praise and thanksgiving so nothing will stop people and angels from bringing the harvests in to them. Yes Lord, let their spiritual gates always be open to You in praise and adoration. We give you all the glory for what You have already started to do in their lives. Amen!" (see Heb. 11:6, Is. 60:11, Ps. 24:6-10, Ps. 100:4).

Swords and Psalm 29
Hi there. I love this Psalm. It took me a while to dig out the nuggets, but as I kept thinking about it and reading it, Holy Spirit highlighted some things.
I talk about verses 1-4 in the last post I wrote. The link is here... http://greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2010/09/you-cant-always-win-with-another-mans.html
Starting at verse 5, " The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. vs 6. He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox.
First point I want to make is that we are God's spokes-people right now. His voice is heard through us and as we consecrate our mouths to speak faith, trust and blessing, Holy Spirit will be able to add power to our words.
Cedars represent strongholds and the building blocks of fortresses in the Spirit realm. Also, we know that we don't fight flesh and blood.(2Cor. 10:3-5) We fight spiritual battles with spiritual weapons. The cedars of Lebanon were so huge, they were considered the biggest and mightiest trees in the middle east. So we can conclude that even mighty strongholds will come down as we learn to speak what the Lord wants.
Let's re-coin this verse with the new background information we have.
"The Lord's voice (through us) breaks the strongholds of the people, The Lord, (through us) breaks in pieces the strongholds of the devil." That put's it into a new perspective, eh? The Lord is looking for us to use any victories we have gained over the devil to benefit other people. Freely we have received, freely we give." (Matt. 10:8) Hang on, it gets better.
Vs. 6, "He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox." The Lord told me that the enemy would take off like a calf and that the strongholds represented symbolically by the country of Syria would jump off the people like a young wild ox. Young , wild, oxen are fearsome, unpredictable creatures. You wouldn't want to be near them, or have to rely on them. I also believe that the Lord was showing me that there are territories that have strongholds over them and He wants us to perceive what's going on so we can take care of business for Him.
This applies to our territories. Recently, I asked the Lord what was over our town that I had not dealt with and He told me Absalom. I looked up Absalom, to refresh my memory and realized that he was the son that tried to steal the kingdom from his father David. He used cunning and deceit to turn the people's hearts away from David. He looked so good on the outside; did all the right things, said all the right things, but he was wicked, with a seditious mind inside.
So now I am praying the opposite for our town, decreeing that God will pick the people that will surround leaders and that they will be loyal and not split the church up. There have been enough church splits. I want to see family style churches, where we are all different but we've grown to love each other despite our differences.
Let's move on. Psalm 29:7 "The voice of the Lord, (through us) strikes with flashes of Lightning. vs. 8, "the The voice of the Lord (through us) shakes the desert, the Lord (through us) shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
I really believe that in this time the Lord wants His voice through us to be so powerful that it looks like flashes of Lightning. John G. Lake prayed for the lightnings of God... maybe we should too. Another translation mentions 'forked lightning'. One day the Lord showed me that a believer's words at an aimed target were like forked lightning. Pretty awesome eh?
Deserts are dry places where we are supposed to send the devils to. (Luke 11:24) I really believe the Lord wants to use us to shake the devil's kingdoms.
I remember one time that we were trying to get some hay in and there were thunder storms coming at us. I spoke up and said, "NO WAY! Storms go around us!" I didn't think any more of it. Our hired help could not help but notice that the black thunder storm circled our property all afternoon.
Another time we had cut hay on the ground when thunder storms approached. I commanded it to stay away from my property. Later on we had sheet lightning on three sides of our property and it was quite the aerial display. I found out that our neighbors down the road had a flood in their basement that evening. At our place we only got a little bit of spray that blew in. It wasn't even enough to make the deck wet. That's my God! We baled the hay the next day to the amazement of all our neighbors. This in your inheritance too, as you learn who you are in Christ.
Now let's look at vs 9 from another translation. In the New American Standard we read, "The voice of the Lord makes the deer to calve, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everything says, "Glory!"
I love it. Have you got any dead dreams that need reviving? Have you given up on anything in your life? Well God is saying here that His voice through us will make the deer to calve. I don't have any deer, but the Lord said that this is a comparison. His voice through us will bring dreams to pass! No more still-born dreams!
It's true, His voice through you will bring your dream to pass. And as you stand in your dream you will be able to help other people birth their dreams. Somebody shout! That's good news.
The next point from this verse was about 'stripping the forests bare' which to me means clear cutting to make a profit (in their times). So this phrase is talking about resources coming to us. His voice, through us causes the resources to come to us! No lack or famine allowed in His Kingdom. No wonder the people cried out, "Glory!" I would too!
This is one of the ways that the world will see His glory on us. As we walk in our dreams, with all our needs met, we are a huge billboard advertising that the Lord is good.
The final two verses are interesting. From the Amplified, vs.10 "The Lord sat as King over the deluge; the Lord (still) sits as King (and) forever! 11. The Lord will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace."
A couple of points: first the Lord sits as King (through us/through our words). We are bringing Heaven to Earth as we speak His will right now. This enthrones Him in the here and now.
Second, speaking to your mountains, daring to renew your mind to who you are in Christ will cause you to grow into a mighty warrior that no one will mess with. Your reputation will precede you. The final result will be peace because nothing wants to tangle with you.
So, mighty warrior, praise and worship till His presence is around you and then ask the Lord what to speak over your strongholds, your resources, your dreams, your family. Bring His kingdom into your life by aligning your mouth with Heaven. Then watch your enemies shudder when you wake up in the morning. Ha! I love it! Go with God and have fun. Greater is He that is in you, then he that is in the world. (1John 4:4) You rule and reign with Him (Jesus). (Rom. 5:17,19) Amen!
Big hugs,

Victory Over Frustration
For those of you who have not read my first response to frustration please use the link and read it as this article will be brief and to the point and I am not going over the same material again.
//greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2010/09/frustration.html
A) Ask the Lord for a promise for your situation then meditate on it and speak it out over your situation. His word will not return empty. (Is. 55:11) Make sure to watch your words. Don't cancel out your faith with unbelief. A double minded person does not receive anything! (James 1:5-8)
B) Realize that the battle you are facing is not just about you. It's about all the people you will influence. Once you get a victory in an area of your life, you have authority to give your victory to others. Duet 29:29 says that, "the revealed things belong to you and your children.
C) Check to make sure you don't have a stronghold, a belief pattern that stops you from taking God at His word. (Prov. 3:5-6) Acknowledge Him in ALL your ways. Spend time daily focusing on Jesus and ask him to heal the wounds of your heart, so that you can have your promise. Let the sun of righteousness arise with Healing in His wings. In His light we see light.... and we all know that light has healing properties. God's light has even more healing in it. (Mal. 4:2, 1John 1:7) God delights in the prosperity of His servants and He has commanded blessing to pursue us and overtake us. Also, He wants us to prosper and be in health as our souls prosper. (Ps. 35:27, Deut. 28:2, 3John 2)
D) Keep up the praise and thanksgiving. He inhabits the praises of His people. Every day worship till His glory is all around you or Holy Spirit tells you that He is there and ask Him what to say or do that will bring the answer. Holy Spirit is the spirit of revelation and you can expect Him to reveal things as you seek Him.
E) Day dream with God. (1Cor. 2:16) Envision the solution. Plead the blood of Jesus over you before you worship and then as you wait in His presence ask the Lord what He wants to show you. Use your faith to believe that He wants to show you things and then ask clarifying questions to sharpen your mental pictures. (Eph. 1:3, 2:6, 1:17)
F) Remember that the vision or the dream is just the beginning. Once you have a dream or vision then take it to the Lord when you are in His presence and speak it out. Call in what you are seeing or what you dreamed every day (in His presence) till it manifests.
You know God waited for Holy Spirit before He spoke. If God waited till Holy Spirit was hovering/moving upon the waters before He spoke... how much more should we? (Gen. 1:2-3)
Therefore, to sum it all up, practice Psalm 100:4, "enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise..." and then speak what the Lord leads.... decreeing the things Holy Spirit has laid on your heart so that they will be established. (Job 22:28 ) Make sure you ask for joy and strength too! "In his presence there is fullness of joy..." and "the joy of the Lord is our strength." ( Ps. 16:11, Neh. 8:10)
Remember you are more than a conqueror. You are called to rule and reign on the earth for the Lord. ( Rom. 8:37, Rom. 5:17, 19, Heb. 10:13, Heb. 1:13) For example, when the devil tries to attack me with sickness I rebuke it. If the symptoms try to linger I stand with a good confession and I pray for my family. If they still linger then I go on a major assault praying for every single person I know and all those I don't know in town. Be an expensive target! Make the devil pay for every second he tries to oppress you.
Be encouraged, He is working while you wait on Him. I know your life is busy and it's hard to make time to seek Him but it is so-o-o-o- worthwhile. "Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him" (Is. 64:4) That is why you keep Him first. The Lord told me once that if I would spend my anointing on Him, one hour a day, that He would work on my situation for me. I obeyed and found out it works!
Let's pray: Thank You Lord for giving us joy in our journey with You. Thank You Lord for protecting our praise and worship times with You. I declare that no evil comes near our dwelling. Thank You Lord that You are sanctifying us completely and that we are more than conquerors through You. We command all these trials to turn into blessings for us. Show us Lord what to decree in Your glory regarding all our situations. We give you all the thanks and praise and glory for our victories now. Amen! (Is 61:3, 1Thess. 5:23, Rom. 8:30-38)

God communicates!
I want to go through some basics about how God communicates and take the mystery out of it. It should be as natural for us!
The most frequent way God speaks to people is by Holy Spirit inside of you. From John 10:27 we can see that, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." So we should all be able to hear God's voice if we've made Jesus our Lord and Savior. If you have not yet asked Jesus into your heart, it is not too late. Just ask Jesus/Holy Spirit in your own words to come into your heart and reveal Himself to you.
Okay then, so how I started hearing God/Holy Spirit was recognizing that"Yes" is a peace deep inside and "No" is a queasy, something is not right feeling in your gut area. Many people identify with this long before they openly acknowledge God. Isn't that amazing? (more on that in another blog article)
Discerning God's voice gets easier with practice. Yes that's the big key, we have to practice every day. Sometimes we are so busy that it's hard to still ourselves enough to hear His quiet voice. I try and ask at least 20 questions a day of the Lord. Be a question box for the Lord.
Some people have heard God's voice audibly but that is not the norm for most of us. Holy Spirit has only yelled at me once in twenty five years and that was when I was going to make a horrible mistake and marry the wrong man. Trust me you never forget it!
I love hearing his voice. To me that's one of the biggest miracles of all, that I can hear his voice all the time. His voice sounds like your voice in your head and He's always encouraging, always hopeful, always the counselor. If this seems a bit far fetched I encourage you to start with the word of God because Holy Spirit will never disagree with the whole counsel of the word of God. You can learn to discern His voice by comparing it to the word of God (the Bible).
For example, we know that God will never condemn you because the Bible says that there is therefore no condemnation for them that follow Christ.(Rom.8:1) Now that is not to say that He won't correct you but He (Holy Spirit) will always leave you with hope and a solution. Condemnation does not do that. It leaves you in despair.
I want to mention how important it is to renew your mind with the word of God (Bible) because some traditional teaching is not backed up by the word of God. This is where 'the voice you know' comes in to effect. In John 10:6 it says that the voice of a stranger we will not listen to. That's good and I agree with that. Unfortunately some of the things I was told, I got used to, so they were not the voice of a stranger anymore and I did listen to them. Thus, I had a very unhappy life. As I started to speak who I was in Christ and root out all the garbage from my past I became a lot more peaceful and had much more victory in my life.
Also, it is easier to hear God's voice after you have died to your own will. That is the hard part. When we still have our own ideas or desires that we have not fully died to, that is when His voice gets skewed by our own voice/will. So I use Rom. 12:2 as a help and I "offer myself a living sacrifice to him" every day. Sacrifices are supposed to be dead, right? That is the interesting part. When you get to the point where you can honestly say that you do not care what the answer is, whether yes or no; you just want to hear His Voice, THEN you will hear Him clearly. After all the bible says "that you will seek Me and find Me when You seek me with all Your heart." (Jer 29:13)
Visions:
Another way that God speaks to you is in visions. In Habb. 2:2-3 we read, "Then the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision And make [it] plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. "
There are different types of visions. Some of the different types of visions that I am familiar with include: visions in our mind as we think about God, visions that appear as pictures overlapping our regular vision, visions that happen as we soak in His presence with our eyes closed and visions that happen as we conduct our daily lives. Sometimes a deja vu can be a vision that we've had previously.
Dreams:
Other ways that God spoke to people include the use of dreams. God spoke to Joseph, the husband of Mary in dreams and thus kept Mary and Jesus safe Matt. 1:20 Matt. 2:13,19.. That is another cool way that God can talk to you. My daughters get these little dreams that are prophetic and it is so neat how the Lord is showing them that they are significant so they will start to write them down and pray into them.
This is not an exclusive list by the way, just a start.
I hope this helps you to dare to believe that God wants to talk to you. It is your right as a child of God to hear Him. So go have fun being a 'question box' to your Heavenly Father aka Daddy.
Bless you in Jesus' name!

Things I Don't Take For Granted Anymore

There are so many things I've had to quit doing or adapt to new methods. I never realized how hard it could be to learn how to be a lefty after being right handed for so long.
1. Doing up a bra is next to impossible for me. I wonder how amputees manage?
2. Writing is a tough one. My writing is now worse than my 11 year old daughters. Just this week I've been able to start using my right hand to help me type a bit.
3. Cutting up vegetables is very difficult. The first couple of weeks I couldn't use my right hand to help at all. On a good note, I am eating a lot slower these days.
4. Pulling up your pants is difficult on hot summer days when everything wants to stick and roll. You get the drift. I gave up on jeans and belts. Can't do them up. Ha, Ha!
5. Having a shower in our tiny shower stall was interesting because I wasn't supposed to get the cast wet. Hubby helped, Thank God and we had a few good laughs.
6. I was so upset at not being able to train my horses. Summer is so short and here I am, can't go riding or hubby will shoot me. So I tried doing some lounge line work 2 days ago with my three year old and it worked. My hand was a bit sore after but it healed up fast.
On a very good note, I have had lots of time to read and worship, without the piano of course. I know the Lord understands. He's always after the cry of our hearts. So I have been singing about frustration, pain, adapting and determination. Sometimes our dreams get delayed but if we won't give up God will continue to help us work towards our dreams.
On that note I'm going to keep dreaming and talking to the Lord Jesus about His dream for our lives.

Dreams and Hard Work
I have been getting a horse ready for sale the last two weeks. It's a lot of work. She (Tina) is not quite three and would like us to believe that she has forgotten everything she learned last fall with the trainer. It takes a lot of time, dedication and vision to see the potential in a horse when they are acting like broncos or spoiled brats. The miracle is that with enough time, patience, training and hard work we can turn them into show winners.
In the same way there is no short cut to fulfilling a dream. They all take time, dedication, a willingness to learn and lots of work.
I think that is what Jesus meant when He asked us to consider the cost before we committed to Him. "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? (Luke 14:28)
What would happen if I quit on my horse? She would never attain her full potential and there's a very good possibility that her life would be cut short. Horses with bad manners, that you can't ride are not good for much.
To me the cost is worth it. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel because my trainer and I have trained a few horses. I know that if I work hard now, in a while she will be more manageable and it won't be so hard next year to get her ready for riding.
Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? If you work hard can you see a part of your dream coming to pass? I guess the big question is, "What are you willing to go without or do without to pursue your dream?"
I know for me... I have been committing a couple of hours every second day to training plus the additional time of handling, grooming, feeding every day. I do not have time for many things right now, but that is okay, because I have made the choice to do this. When we decide what we will do with our free time it empowers us somehow. It's easier to sacrifice when it's not forced on us by others.
On that note, I am still trying to help a lady with her dream of learning to play the piano. She now knows how to chord a worship song and I am teaching her some music theory along the way.
What I've noticed though, is now that she's realizing how hard it is to play the piano well, she is reconsidering how much she wants the dream. You see, she has three young children and she works and she still wants to read her fiction books every night. As you can imagine... practicing the piano is not happening.
This happens to many people. We start off great but then when we realize that it will take a lot longer than we imagined to achieve our dream, we want to give up. Do not shelve or give up on your dream! Instead, break your dream down into many small steps and figure out what one step you can start on now. Be realistic with your goal setting.
For example, I am going to encourage the piano lady to make some baby sized goals to start with and see how see does with that. It can be a challenge breaking down a dream into manageable, bite-sized pieces, but it can be done. Pursuing a dream, however slowly makes us more alive, more vibrant. Do not let anything or anyone steal your dream because "hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12) Even achieving the smallest part of a dream gives you courage to keep believing God for more and along the way or journey we become a tree of life to help others pursue their dreams. It is amazing how God changes us and uses us along the way!
Lord Jesus, You are so awesome! Bless this reader as they pursue You and Your dream for their lives!

Big Dreams Need Help

I do not know how to make my dream come true. It is so huge that only God can orchestrate it.
I felt the Lord tell me to get involved helping people make their dreams come true. Then I could use "my help" as seed for my dream harvest. I didn't have any teaching on this, just a nudge from Holy Spirit that He would be pleased if I did it.
We know from scripture that seed time and harvest, day and night, summer and winter, cold and heat will not pass away while the earth remains.(Genesis 8:22) I have used this Law of the Spirit to sow for a harvest of self control, friends, finances, jobs etc. I had not heard of anyone doing it for dreams but Holy Spirit thought it was okay, so why not? I had nothing to lose.
Over the years I have had the greatest time helping people make their dreams a reality. Sometimes it's only encouragement they need, or an alternate idea to get them going again in the right direction. On other occasions I have been able to facilitate their dream come to pass and watch it happen.
I know it has changed me into a more Christ like person. I have been partnering with the Biggest dream maker of them them all -- God, and it has stretched me to dream bigger and higher. Also, I am not a dream stealer anymore. I know that All things are possible with God. (Matthew 19:26)
Right now I am giving free piano lessons to a lady who always dreamed of being able to play the piano. Another friend got a dream job but has no way to get there the first week so I am going to drive her.
Then there was the lady from work who always dreamed of learning how to crochet so I taught her how to crochet. She has now completed three large blankets in various patterns.
Another lady always dreamed of having an appaloosa horse so I tried to give her one of mine; a beautiful black and white spotted filly. She didn't understand the "Seed being worth more than money" principle so I was able to explain it to her. She ended up giving me a nominal amount for the filly, just to keep her husband happy.
I don't think we can go wrong helping people pursue their dreams. The bible says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish,..." (Prov.29:18) A dream gives us focus, purpose and a destiny that we would otherwise not have. I remember once just thinking about God and how He has lost so much and yet His dreams are coming to pass in the world. He never quits. You know what He told me that day? He whispered to me that His love and plans go on forever. What a concept! It doesn't matter how many times we 'mess' up, He always has a back up plan.
There is hope for the dream He has given you. It might take some time to rediscover your dream but it is possible. Ask God to help you. He's really good at that. "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:..." (Psalm 37:4-5).
For more encouragement and direction in pursuing your dream I suggest you read the book, "Chicken Soup for the Soul, Living Your Dream". It has many uplifting stories of how people have pursued and achieved their dreams.
Bless you in Jesus' Name as you pursue God's dream for your life.

A Dream Given to God Doesn't Die
Sometimes you have a dream so big you don't know how it's ever going to happen.
I know that God can make dreams come true because He's done it for me before. You see, when I was in Engineering I had my western saddle situated in my bedroom and whenever I would get tired of studying I would look at that saddle and what it represented, and I kept going, because I knew I needed a good job to pay for my dream.
Well life didn't work out like I thought and when I moved out East years later with my 18 month old daughter, I didn't have room in the trunk for a saddle, never mind the expense of boarding a horse. The Lord told me to move out here; I had no connections, no job and one friend that said I could stay with her a couple of weeks till I found my bearings. I had five weeks left of Unemployment Insurance to live on till I either found a job or went on social assistance.
Time moved on and three years later I was living in the country and married to a great guy -- two major miracles. Then, two years later, I had the opportunity to rent some property behind our place and get a horse for my daughter!
If you had told me that moving out East was reasonable, I could tell you about all the people who thought I had lost my marbles. Guess what? God always has the last word.
So if you ask me, "Does it pay to obey God?" I would say, "Yes!" Even if it doesn't make sense... obey God. If you are wrong, He is able to correct you. If you don't obey, you will never know what you might have missed.
Give your dreams to the Lord. Trust Him in this and He will bring them to pass (in His perfect timing)(Psalm 37:4-5)
P.S. The picture is of my daughter and horse in our first horse show.

My New Scarf

I stand amazed at God's goodness today. I just got back from a girlfriend's place and she gave me a new, big scarf. I like the really big, square scarves that keep your shoulders and neck warm. (The pic has my Boston Terrier, Brandy on my new scarf.)
This scarf came all the way from Italy and it still had the tags on it. It was even in fall colors that suit me so well and to top it off, it has western saddles on it. What are the chances?
My girlfriend wouldn't say how much she paid for it but she got it at the Opportunity shop in town, so I know its wasn't more than a dollar or two.
Isn't God Good? He knew how much I loved these big scarves, so He had someone buy one in Italy, probably on holiday and He made sure it matched my hair color and my hobbies! Then He had the recipient of the gift, not like it, so they would donate it to the Opportunity shop so my girlfriend would spot it, see how big it was opened up, and purchase it for me.
God, You are amazing! It was such a small thing, but it means so much to me. These scarves are hard to find!
Now then, if God will go to all that trouble for a new scarf, how much more will He engineer things to get you that job, or husband/wife you have been waiting on? Truly, He hears our heart's cry and our dreams are safe with Him. "Delight yourselves in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)
