Turning Thorns Into Trophies
"To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. "(2Cor. 12:7)
I love it. We serve such a great God that every thorn the enemy sends against us we can turn into a trophy for our Lord Jesus. Let me show you how.
As we start praying for others let's say for healing we will get some back lash... it's inevitable. A pesky thorn has attacked us. This provides us with the opportunity to get stronger in the promises of healing and protection... or stay sick and endure the torment.
God allows in his wisdom what he could easily prevent by his power. His grace will come and help us. His power is made perfect in our weakness. (ref. 2Cor. 12:9) He will show us how to fight and remind us of promises to speak out loud. Some good healing confessions are here...
http://greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2011/10/confessions-for-hospital-patient.html
He might also tell you to take communion and/or get a friend to agree with you for healing. Often when I can't get the breakthrough on my own, getting a fellow believer to agree with me will assure the victory. Don't forget the power of getting your spouse to agree with you! Even if all they say is "Amen," that's agreement enough. God honors covenant and will use it to bust the enemies attack.
Sometimes, when the thorn is pesky enough and I have done all that I know to do, I go on the offensive and start praying for everyone I know that might be experiencing any type of physical symptom. I have got a thorn temporarily, but I am going to be a costly target. When I start praying in tongues for lots of people it doesn't take long and all the symptoms leave.
Therefore, I encourage you... be an expensive target. Turn that little thorn into a huge trophy for the Lord. Every single word of knowledge that I have learned was once a thorn in my flesh. PTL! Here's an article I wrote about them and the list keeps growing. I love it! http://greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2010/10/quick-check-list-for-words-of-knowledge.html
One other note... you might notice that when you start to pray for people or come into the vicinity of people that the symptom starts up again. Sometimes I have found that this can be triggered by another spirit that is attached to the person you are praying for. (We all have angelic and demonic assignments) So, because you are spiritually sensitive in the area you have been fighting, that's the fastest way Holy Spirit can alert you to pray.
Another way of looking at it is that the devil is the worst street fighter ever. He always goes for your weak spot. Since you are weak, as in 'under attack' in that area, he will try to hit you there.
Therefore, do not be discouraged. You are achieving great victories. The better you get at putting on your armor every day and the more you give your victories away, the stronger you will become in the spirit realm. (ref. Eph. 6:10-18, 1John. 5:4, Matt. 10:8) So use wisdom and let Holy Spirit guide you. When you are struggling to like a person, is not the time to do major warfare on their behalf. You might want to fill up your love tank first. (ref. Rom. 5:5)
If you have any questions, let me know. There's an area for comments at the end of the post.
I bless you today with the ability to see your thorn as an opportunity to get a trophy for the Lord Jesus. May you be endued with his power and grace and may you have the tenacity and perseverance to turn every trial into a great testimony, in Jesus' name. Amen!

Winter Colds & Sickness
We don't have to be sick every winter. Really, we don't. Sometimes we curse ourselves when we speak words like, "I always get sick in the winter." or "I get every cold that comes around."
Sometimes it is words that family or friends have spoken over us that have opened the door for these spirits of sickness to attack us every winter. This often happens when we are children and don't know not to receive it and the words become a perpetual curse.
So to start, I would break the curse in Jesus' name then start renewing your mind. God has given us authority to bind and loose things. We need to take this privilege seriously. Whatever we bind on Earth is bound in Heaven and whatever we loose on Earth is loosed in Heaven. (ref. Matt. 16:19)
Thank You Lord that I prosper and I'm in health as my soul prospers. You want me whole and healthy in all seasons. (ref. 3John 2)
Thank You Lord that I am strong in you and my immune system fights off every virus. (ref. Eph. 6:10)
Thank You Lord that I am protected from secondary infections in Jesus name.
Thank you Lord for protecting me from the plague (pneumonia) that tries to attack me. (Psalm 91)
Here's a blog post that's full of good confessions to use to renew your mind.
http://www.greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2011/10/confessions-for-hospital-patient.html
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. (ref. Rom. 10:17) Fear comes by hearing and hearing the word of the devil. You choose what you listen to and receive in your heart.
Did you know that you believe what you say more than you believe what anybody else says? Yes it's true. Therefore you and I need to line up our words with Heaven and give the angels something to work with. They hearken to the voice of his word through us. (ref. Psalm 103:20)
Have fun!
I bless you in Jesus' name!

Decrees and Encouragement
Good morning. I just listened to Dr. Cindy Trim this morning about the Atomic Power of Prayer on you tube and she is bang on. Here is the link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxdGD8X153M
I used the pause button so that I could decree it myself as she spoke.
It is so easy to get discouraged about the discipline of commanding your morning. We almost need the Lord to show us again just how real our words are in the supernatural realm so we will be more careful to say the right things.
I love what Maria Woodsworth-Etter used to pray. She didn't have much of an education, yet God used her mightily in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Let me share some of her words with you.
"Thank You Lord Jesus for using this clay for your glory and for giving me a message for this dying people!" Amen! She was so humble! She sparked revival wherever she went and remained a humble piece of clay in the Lord's hands. There's a lesson there for all of us.
Someone once said that "He who loves souls lives in constant revival," and I have found this to be true. "Lord, give us a love for people; the selfish, vain, hurting people. Here's the link to a song I wrote about this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoGR5cmlDvY
Another quote I liked from Maria's writings was, "Oh Praise the Lord for his tender care over us, and for His wonderful salvation, that fills our soul with glory, that takes away the fear of persecution, the fear of man and the fear of devils, and makes us rejoice in the midst of trials, remembering that 'all things work together for good to those that love the Lord', that takes away the fear of death, and as we look at the grave we hear a shout from Calvary, saying, "I am the resurrection and the Life."
Powerful eh? She had a living, working relationship with Holy Spirit and relied on him completely.
When I get weary of the fight I remind myself of somethings that I read Smith Wigglesworth used to say. "Great faith is the product of great fights. Great testimonies are the outcome of great tests. Great triumphs can only come out of great trials." Pretty awesome sayings, don't you think? If we want great testimonies we have to build up our faith so that we can press through the trials with a good confession of faith. We have to practice shutting up all those niggling thoughts of doubt, fear and lack.
Therefore, we choose to persevere and ask the Lord for joy in our journey. (Gal 6:9, Heb. 10:35) He will not test us beyond our ability to withstand it, but with every temptation will provide a way of escape (1Cor. 10:13). As we keep lifting the body of Christ up to Him and praying for our leaders He will send encouragement to us because we can never out give Him.
Don't let a spirit of weariness attach itself to you. It will sap your joy and purpose and steal your destiny if it can. We must be on guard against the trickery of the enemy. Great breakthroughs are at hand. Something huge is coming down the pipe. That's what the Lord told me.
So let's pray. There is power in agreement and I agree with you by faith. "We thank You Lord for all the good plans you have prepared for us in advance. Thank You That we are seated with you in heavenly places and we war from our position in Heaven. The Victory you won on Calvary you have given to us and we enforce your victory over all the powers of the enemy. Thank You Lord for showing us the schemes of the enemy because you promised that we would not be ignorant. We come to you and humbly ask that you help us today. Help us to shine brilliantly for you today Lord. Help us to make a difference for You today. Strengthen us as we recount all the victories you have given us in the past and all the things you have promised us. Please prompt us to pray and sing in tongues and we believe we receive the interpretation of them. Help us to prioritize our lives so that we don't miss out on all that you have for us. Thank You Lord for your abiding presence with us today. We give you all the glory for what you are going to do today. Amen!" (Rom. 8:30, Eph. 2:10, 2:6, John 20:21, Heb. 10:13, James 1:5, Is. 60:1-2, Rev. 19:10, 2Cor. 1:20, Habb. 2:2, Col. 3:17, Heb. 13:5, 1 Cor. 10:31)
Bless you sister/brother as you go!

Heidi Baker - Radical Love Equals Radical Obedience
This is what it's all about. When we are so in love that we obey no matter the consequences.

Open Heaven then What?
The visiting Evangelist told us that we have an open Heaven over our church. I have heard this before from other visiting leaders and I know we do.
So what do we do next? How do we get it to spread? That's what I am asking the Lord these days. This move of God has got to get outside of the church walls!
It is nice that people are experiencing visions and supernatural encounters and yes people are getting saved and healed, but something in me is not satisfied. There is a longing inside me for more, for something deeper. He has promised that if we would seek him that we would find him when we seek Him with all our hearts.
So I am going to continue seeking Him every day and I will record the songs He gives me and write down all the visions He shows me.
If you are hungry for more than pray with me, "Lord we want more of You in our lives because nothing else matters, You said that the pure in heart would see Your face, so we are coming. We determine to surrender all for You, for Your presence and for Your pleasure. May we bless Your heart today Lord. Holy Spirit help us to hear Your precious voice and give us determination to obey you at all cost. Amen"
Bless you!

Table At The Mall
Well that's it. A psychic set up her table at the mall and something has to be done about it. This is God's town and I can't stand idly by.
I got permission to set up a table for free once upon a time when I went and gave words of knowledge and prophesies to whoever wanted them. See www.greatcommissionhow2s.blogspot.com/2010/07/physchic-fair-came-to-town-written-in.html for a post about that weekend.
This time I am a little more experienced and hopefully a little more organized! I was able to secure a table for free. One church was glad to loan me a rectangular table cloth to cover it. A friend from another church gave me some ideas on how to decorate the table. A fellow at the mall printed off some high quality 8.5 x 11 posters to place in stands on the table.
I put some big poster sized signs on either end of the table advertising "Free Spiritual Readings, Thursday and Friday evening and Saturday"
My girlfriend who works at the mall will keep an eye on our table since I can't man it full time.
I just want to give people an opportunity to save their money. I have seen people spend anywhere from $40- $100 plus for a detailed reading. Most of these people don't realize that you can get a prophetic word from some of the charismatic churches for free.
It's time for the Kingdom of God to advance. It's time to get the good news out, that we serve a Living God who's available all the time! It makes me sick thinking that these people are going to hear from the other side when the Living God is all around us and in those that have made Jesus their Savior and Lord.
I have put the word out to all my prophetic friends and those who do prayer ministry to come out and be a part of this. I am very excited. The Lord has never disappointed me.
I would love to have our Sunday school class out on one of these days, just to practice. Wouldn't that turn some heads to see 11 year olds giving words of knowledge and prophesy to strangers. Lord make a way!
I bless you in Jesus' name. May you have courage to step out of your comfort zone and make a difference for God's Kingdom today. Amen!
Big hugs,
